An 18-year-old Texas man tipped off the FBI about his father’s role in the US Capitol riot — and said he’d do it again.
Jackson Reffitt — whose dad Guy Reffitt was charged last week in the Jan. 6 siege — told local outlet Fox4 that he acted out of moral obligation.
“It was my moral compass.. to do what I thought would protect not only my family, but my dad himself,” he said.
“I would do it again.”
The elder Reffitt, of Wylie, had allegedly threatened his son and daughter saying: “If you turn me in, you’re a traitor and you know what happens to traitors … traitors get shot,” court papers state.
His son told the TV station, “I took that as a threat, but I never thought he would act upon it.”
Reffitt said that his dad is part of a far-right militia group and that he has embraced increasingly radicalized views over the years.
He was concerned about what would happen when law enforcement came to arrest his father, saying, “The police could’ve come in at any time, at a bad time, regardless of the situation and my dad could’ve opened fire.”
Calling the FBI, “wasn’t just because I think my dad is aggressive,” Reffitt said. “I think what he’s been manipulated into thinking is aggressive.”
He also recalled the moment he learned his father was at the siege.
“I think it was FOX playing, and it was just live screening of riots at the Capitol, and the rushing in, and my mom said your dad is there,” Reffitt said.

Agreed. But dad is a major league idiot. I infer he had some inkling that one of the kids was going to turn him in, then he makes that threat. Too stupid to be at large

A microcosm of how effectively the left has corrupted minds in this country. The young fool has no idea of the evil he has aided and abeted.
During the first civil war brothers killed brothers and father’s killed son’s that is just how civil wars work. The modern ones get so much worse. Having personally seen Kosovo in the 90s when bullets where still flying it can get so much worse. This little punk needs a good old-fashioned butt whooping sounds like daddy dearest never did.

Wow, that little milennial jerk just told the news station that his dad would open fire on the police if he had the chance. He also said his dad was brainwashed. What a little jerk. If he were my son, he’d be moving into an apt very soon.
Wait till junior finds out how quickly the legal system will burn through his family’s finances.

It would depend on what he did for me to decide if she did wrong or right. If he contributed to the vandalism and mayhem, I have no problem with what she did. If he was protesting peacefully, he should have nothing to worry about, because he didn’t break any laws by peacefully protesting.
Unless he’s on camera smashing windows, this should be just a matter of inconvenience for him.

If dad is the major bread winner, they all could be homeless and hungry very soon.
Very few 18 year olds think of long term repercussions before acting.
Junior is a little scumbag who sided with the Deep State over his own flesh and blood. There’s no empathizing here. He’s a trash human, a rat in human form, who put his own father into jail.

What a little twinkie! Love the little man-bun, right? What a horrible thing he did, turning in his father and spicing it up with that comment he claims his father made about “traitors get shot”. I suspect the family is somewhat dysfunctional and little Twinkie figured this would be a good way to get revenge on his father, backed up by the FBI. Did anyone else pick up Twinkie on their gaydar?
