Many smaller outfits might be a way to go. They could share news with each other. That would also offer various policies to choose from (e.g., moderation). I, for one, have no tolerance remaining for the conspiracy theories and calls to quit.

Their CEO/owner is a Christian and believes in free speech. The moderators are not centralized, each group mostly does their own moderation.
