Things seem to be working backwards at The Commons on St. Anthony nursing home in Auburn, New York. Vaccinating people is supposed to reduce or end coronavirus deaths. Right? But, at The Commons, such deaths are reported to have occurred only after residents began receiving coronavirus vaccinations.
James T. Mulder wrote Saturday at syracuse.com that until December 29 there had been no coronavirus deaths at The Commons. December 29, when deaths of residents with coronavirus began occurring at The Commons, is also, Mulder’s article discloses, seven days days after the nursing home began giving coronavirus vaccinations to residents, with 80 percent of residents so far having been vaccinated.
Over a period of less than two weeks since December 29, Mulder relates that 24 coronavirus-infected residents at the 300-bed nursing home have died.
Is the timing just a strange coincidence?
Read Mulder’s article here.
This is the penultimate paragraph of Mulder’s article, where vaccinations at The Commons is mentioned:
The nursing home began vaccinating residents Dec. 22. So far 193 residents, or 80%, and 113 employees, or less than half the staff, have been vaccinated. The nursing home plans to do more vaccinations Jan. 12.

Likely the nurse giving the shots was drippin’ Covid before she got there.
Also I bet staff brought it in as well.
Coincidence is not causation, but a sub-month 18% death rate? Compared to a previous of 0%?
Ho Lee Shiite! You tell me: What are the odds?
This horrific fatality rate was suddenly caused by non-vaccination factors? I’ll bet you.
I'm sorry to hear that. I'm 73, and have underlying health issues, but I'm not getting the damn vaccine. There was only one person in my family who made it to 74. That was my oldest sister. The rest died at 73, 69, and 51. Three of them died of lung cancer. One from a stroke. My brother, of a massive heart attack at 51.I get the flu shot every year and have no reaction. I've gotten the Shingrix injections, and had no reaction. But now since the flu has miraculously disappeared, I may not even get next year's flu shot. I worked in NY State Corrections for 25 years, dealing with all sorts of people, handled all sorts of shared items from keys to radios, weapons to phones, and computers. Door handles, door knobs, inmate property, whatever you can think of, and not once did I ever ever get sick with anything. Not the flu, scabies, TB, HIV, colds, viruses, nothing. If I survived all of that without being scathed, I'm willing to take the chance that I'll die of something else besides the virus when my time is up. Personally, I don't know anyone who has had the virus. My oldest son who lives 2 hours away, thought he had it twice, but tested negative both times...but then he'd think he had the virus if he farted the wrong way.
i dunno- this has been rushed through, no doubt- so I’m not sure if they’ve studied that scenario or not- Hopefully it’;s not triggering reactions in the elderly more so than healthy folks,
Makes sense
It could be because complete information was not given, for instance that you have to wait after the first shot and continue to use precautions, and also that it takes two shots and two waiting periods to be almost totally immune.
Residents might have been waiting to see their family members and possibly it wasn’t stressed that they should follow all the protocols for the time being.
I don’t trust nursing homes for anything medical or for hospital-level cleanliness, and wonder if they were up to hospital level for making sure the patient understands things thoroughly.
Our house was pretty much your Iron Fortress, minimal contact with the outside world, no shopping, no visits, groceries curbside delivery, then quarantined in the garage before being brought into the house, etc., etc., etc.
We all got it anyway.
Only confirmed when my nonagenarian mom needed to go to the ER for rehydration, they wouldn’t let her go without a COVID swab.
We’re out of quarantine now. I’m looking and becoming a convalescent plasma donor, if they don’t disqualify me for being too old or some other reason.
It’s been happening at nursing homes in every single state and country on Earth. For a year.
Where have you been?
I read it but I don’t understand it. My reading makes me think it is saying is that we might be training the bod to overreact when they get the virus. So a mutation to the SARS-Cov-2 might invoke a over reaction by the immune system of the vaccinated?
Am I reading that correctly or have 180 degrees backwards ?
We can reduce our risks, but never fully eliminate them. I hope you and your family are all doing well now.
Even on vaccines that endure the whole bureaucracy laden multi-year process rare side effects and reactions happen anyway.
They are tested and qualified on a representative sample of humanity. When the sample size goes up to everyone things that a few thousand or tens of thousands of subjects didn’t intercept show up.
I wouldn’t get a new vaccine any more than I’d install the first release of any Microsoft product!
Thank you. We’re back to as well as we were...
Or is it saying that the protein the vaccine targets can cause a bad autoimmune response because vaccine might teach the immune system to attack a normal part of the body aka normal protein.
I believe a “cytokine stoem” is what is supposed to be most deadly, and that comes fro. Your body’s overreaction to the virus. I think that is also what it is feared the vaccine can cause, considering that the first dose is supposed to ramp up your body’s reaction to the second dose. It is that ramping up that represents a great risk. Many od these types of residents are older with more comorbidities than the vaccine was tested against, if I understand correctly.
There’s nothing specific to the vaccine in that article. What it’s saying is that there’s a risk of autoimmunity when your immune system develops a response to a protein which is similar to one already in your body. That risk is actually greater with the disease than it is with the vaccine since the vaccine can potentially target proteins dissimilar enough to native proteins that such a response doesn’t happen.
However, when presented with the whole virus, your immune system will trigger off any number of points once identifying the virus as foreign. If the dendritic cells happen to take proteins back to the lymph nodes which are similar enough to those present in your body normally, there’s a risk of autoimmune response. This really comes down to the dendritic cells and what samples are available to them. With the complete virus, it’s a crap shoot. Generation 3 (mRNA platform) vaccines have the opportunity to target proteins not found in the body. We just have to find ones that provoke an immune response, but lack any autoimmune issues.
The seasonal flu has also been cured.
I understand that it didn’t mention the vaccine specifically but did discuss proteins in the virus and what human protein could be impacted by autoimmunity.
So would autoimmunity of a protein in SARS-COV-2 cause the body to attack itself (aka autoimmune disorder) or cause the body to ignore that protein or cause a over response to future introduction of that protein? That’s the part I’m not sure I follow.
Is the Spike and S protein the same or different? I thought they were effectively the same but this article makes a distinction. I thought the mRNA vaccine was making the spike protein as its component to trigger the immune response.
‘There are probably about 25 or 50 deaths attributed to COVID-19 that should not have been.’
that is conjecture on your part, arguing from a position that you desire to be true...and you have made the argument before that if a secondary or tertiary cause of mortality on a death cert is covid, that alone substantiates its inclusion in the covid numbers; using that logic, my father would have died from ischemic cardiac disease, aka atherosclerosis, which I and millions of others happen to suffer from, and on a daily basis is perfectly manageable...IOW, contributory, not causitive; my father actually died from hypoxia...
‘And the 1 million doctors in the US are not “the enemy”. That’s absurd.’
what is equally absurd is the fear level that the medical community has ginned up over this virus, presumably in an effort to increase its influence in societal engineering...advocating masks on three year old toddlers is not only absurd, it is despicable if not diabolical...
Tbe vaccine may make you contagious.
