The January 6 protest in Washington, D.C. was a unique moment in the history of the United States, in several ways. A massive march on Capitol Hill may not have prevented the inevitable certification of Joe Biden’s alleged victory in the presidential election, but it did alter the political landscape. Was it MAGA Country’s last hurrah, though, or the beginning of a new consciousness in America?
For the first time, tens of thousands of ordinary Americans from across the land converged on the capital, not to protest some despicable government policy or demand government action on an issue, but in direct support of a single man who happens to be the president.
Also, this is one of the few times since the country’s very founding that the ruling class is afraid. The wails of anguish heard across the District of Columbia and throughout the offices of establishment media organizations is real enough. Even most Republicans have joined the chorus of outrage directed at President Trump, though it could be argued that he personally did nothing to spark his supporters’ siege of the Capitol, which was going to happen with or without his speech earlier that day.
It would be easy to imagine that the anger over the unrest in Washington is fake. After all, there was relatively little violence, considering the sheer number of people that flowed down Constitution and Pennsylvania avenues to make themselves heard outside the marbled halls of Congress. Also, in comparison to the chaos, death, and destruction inflicted upon several U.S. cities by left-wing extremists over the course of many weeks, the D.C. protesters were remarkably restrained.
But that anger rippling through the corridors of power and radiating out to all those who think they have some kind of divine right to rule is real enough – and it comes from fear.
The truth is, had Trump’s supporters decided that violence and vandalism were their preferred expressions of anger – had they been intent on bringing down the lawmakers and putting a stop to the transfer of executive power – they would have come armed to Washington and could not have been stopped. The mass of humanity that flowed up to the very walls of the Capitol Building was easily sufficient to overrun the place entirely.
Had the MAGA crowd considered using the tactics of the far left, the bodies of police officers would have littered the grounds, and thousands would have rampaged through the Senate and House chambers, destroying and burning as they went. That wasn’t the plan, however. That is not how most Trump supporters believe things should be done.
Members of Congress cowered as just a few protesters – who many suspect were not real Trump supporters – cavorted around the building and made the most of their photo ops. Sadly, one police officer was killed but so was one female Trump supporter, shot by a federal agent or a plain-clothes Capitol Police officer. Three others also died of as yet unspecified causes. The deaths are a tragedy. Indeed, it is tragic that even a specter of political violence hangs over the last free country on Earth.
This was no insurrection. If it was, the protesters would still be occupying the Capitol Building today and there would be no inauguration of Joe Biden on January 20. This was an expression of collective anger and pent-up frustration, made worse by the presence of agitators who may or may not have been Antifa or perhaps even government operatives. The nation will likely never know the truth about who really was behind the violence.
The big takeaway from the event, however, was that MAGA Country, now all but abandoned by the Republican invertebrates in Congress, learned that it can rattle the cages of our supposedly elected leaders. More importantly, those officials know it now, too, which is why some of them are already attempting to brand the demonstrators as terrorists.
Perhaps – hopefully – that knowledge will be enough to curb some of the worst authoritarian tendencies of the new and soon-to-be all-powerful Democratic Party and its Republican house pets. After all, even though Donald Trump has only a couple of weeks left in the White House, MAGA Country can return to the Capitol any time it chooses.
The year opens with the Democrats making a second attempt to overturn the 2016 election with yet another fraudulent set of accusations that would have been summarily dismissed if the PoTUS were a Democrat.
While this is still in-progress, a deadly pathogen from China emerges. The Politburo orders Wuhan to be quarantined from the rest of the Mainland, but allows it to spread throughout the world, resulting in, as of this writing, more than 2 million deaths worldwide. The WHO tells us that it's not contagious among humans. Pelosi parades through Chinatown, inviting others to join her.
If Trump and/or the Republicans were this responsible for Wuhan, they would have been rightfully brought up for charges of Crimes Against Humanity. Instead, the Chinese regime is appeased, apologized for defended by the Democrats, media and international corporations that benefited from the status quo of cheating, exporting jobs, stifling wages for their own countrymen.
Nonetheless, Trump is successfully blamed for the contagion and deaths. He is called a racist for blocking travel from Hot Zones in China and Italy.
Then, the lockdowns, shelter-in-place orders that were only supposed to last a few weeks so medical facilities are not overwhelmed all at once drag on to this day -- particularly in Democrat-run jurisdictions.
Subsequently, there was a series of police shootings involving a certain demographic of those designated as Born Victims. What would have otherwise been considered local crime blotter stories were blown up to be international news, with the inevitably finger-pointing -- and misdirected hand-wringing.
What is scrupulously ignored is that in nearly all of these fraudulently racialized incidents -- starting with what precipitated the 1965 Watts riots -- was the subject deciding to fight the police over a minor offense. The guy who shot up the movie theater in Colorado was taken into custody without injury because he surrendered peacefully. The guy who was illegally selling individual cigarettes died, because he resisted arrest.
The #DefundPolice movement emerged, resulting in horrific increases in violent crime in the minority communities and racially motivated attacks elsewhere. Democrat state and local politicians ordered the police to Stand Down as AntiFa/BLM infiltrated the protests, looting, burning, cracking heads.
As the #SummerOfLove dragged on, the enhanced unemployment benefits were allowed to abruptly expire. Pelosi took the House on vacation when Senate Republicans would not pass a Covid Relief package that included the Green New Deal, bailouts for bloated pensions in Democrat jurisdictions, taxpayer-funded benes for illegal aliens, racial/sexual orientation quotas for companies that accept aid, prohibiting localities to require VoterID, etc.
Thanks to the Left-biased Establishment Media, this and all other suffering inflicted by the Democrats was blamed upon Trump.
As Election season approached, Democrats changed the rules, sending out mass unsolicited ballots, not requiring signature verification -- or whether those who returned these ballots even lived in the localities or were even alive.
Those who raised objections to this blatant nullification of legit voters were ironically -- and successfully -- accused of #VoterSuppression.
Finally a 2nd Covid Relief package was signed after the election -- most of which did not go to any Americans, instead to be frittered away by hostile nations.
Then on the night of the election, we saw Trump in the lead in key Battleground states. Then as the days dragged on, we still did not know who won as ballots were counted in the wee hours after poll-watchers were triumphantly ejected. Even with Court orders in hand, poll-watchers were blocked out as the leads curiously changed.
There were plenty of eyewitness accounts and even video showing questionable vote-counting. We all saw the differences in crowd size at the Biden and Trump rallies before the election. Nonetheless, anyone who dared question the election results as declared by CNN were smeared as Conspiracy Theorists and even traitors.
For their part, the Courts -- including SCoTUS -- refused to consider the evidence one way or the other at all, thus showing that they too are beholden to the #DeepState.
Then came the demonstrations at the US Capitol as Congress convened to certify the election results as official or to request a 10-day audit. For over half of the legit voting population, it was more than questionable whether the election was legitimate.
If the Democrats were actually confident that they won a free, fair election, they would have welcomed the audit, so their legitimacy to govern was reinforced. But they knew that their election results would not have survived such scrutiny, preferring instead to rule under a cloud as they took to smear, persecute anyone who questioned the election as a means to consolidate their ill-gotten gains at the ballot box.
Up to this point, pro-Trump rallies have always been peaceful, with the grounds often left cleaner than before. But this time, a small cadre showed up wearing body armor, goggles, respirators, helmets, clubs and other hand-weapons. Some wore MAGA gear, but otherwise fit the demographic and tactics of the very same people rioting in Democrat-run cities unchecked for months.
Some commentators -- including Republicans and Fox News -- said that if these violent agitators were AntiFa/BLM, the police would have beaten them down. We all saw the videos of thugs running rampant as the police stood in lines and watched.
All of this was blamed upon Trump by the media, Democrats -- even some Republicans and conservative commentators. We have seen these past few years Democrats and Leftists calling for violence against Trump supporters -- and getting it.
The result is that all speech, peaceable assembly that is pro-America, pro-freedom, pro-law enforcement, pro-free markets will be successfully deemed treasonous -- and thus righteously subject to harsh, smothering suppression.
Hence we see Social Media shutting down Trump's ability to connect with the American people directly, without being filtered by the media. We even see people losing their non-political jobs for daring to question the election results, question Born Guilt, support the police, support the President.
So is this the beginning? Yes, it is the time when it will be marked that America's fate was sealed in becoming a fascist, one-party, banana republic, Third World shithole.
Is it the end? Yes, it is when our freedom of speech, freedom of association, right to self-defense, right to have a loyal, non-violent opposition to the Ruling Party came to an end. It will be marked as when our Constitutional Republic, our free society that allowed for so much prosperity and innovation was in its death knell.
(PS- Humor aside, I hope Jan 6 was just the beginning. I'm ready!)
Not the begining, not the end. Smack dab in the middle. The american people are nearly at the boiling point as a nation of working class people. The lefties are to full of themselves to stop poking the bear. Trump will start a social media platform and a new political party. Trump will serve two terms.
Or he died as a result of too many laws. Selling onesies is a crime? In America.
Not sure we’ll have many options if the banks, big tech, leftist attack the 2nd amendment.
We’ve already seen the 1st amendment crushed, voting integrity crushed. These idiots are making enemy lists, urging people to not hire anyone associated with Trump.
This is mad. I mean truly Orwellian.
It is the beginning. I myself will not give go quietly into the night.
To paraphrase Churchill, it was the end of the beginning.
the guy was posted at the senate building. Is he the one who murdered Ashli Bbabbit.
the guy who was illegally selling individual cigarettes died, because he resisted arrest.
Or he died as a result of too many laws. Selling onesies is a crime? In America.
January 7 was the actual end... the day the swamp implemented the coordinated plan to terminate free speech. Parler, for example, has no good hosting agreement, e-mail service, and their lawyers abandoned them all at the same time.
Capitol Demonstration – Was It The End Or The Beginning?...
The fact that there’s a THREAD ON FREE REPUBLIC FROM SOME CRYBABY B.TCH THAT SAYS
...IF YOU LEAVE THE US PERMANENTLY WHERE SHOULD YOU GO?
by Pining_4_TX ...
That tells me it’s the end at least for some.
For me, it’s just the beginning.
And that thread is sickening.
Pining for Texas.
I thought Texas made of tough people.
Not crybabies that cut and run when things get tough.
And the reasoning is “other immigrants left countries that were bad” or some bull#### like that.
Now we’re comparing AMERICA to IRELAND and ITALY and other countries??
This IS the place people come to.
YES there was a coup. YES it was terrible.
NO, we’re FAR FROM done.
This all reminds me of a line by Yul Brynner in “The Magnificent Seven
“I’ll tell you what I can do; I can kill the first man who even talks about quitting. The first man I swear I’ll blow his head off!”
This fight ain’t over. Not even close.
D*mn well had better be the beginning.
Not the begining, not the end. Smack dab in the middle. The american people are nearly at the boiling point as a nation of working class people. The lefties are to full of themselves to stop poking the bear. Trump will start a social media platform and a new political party. Trump will serve two terms.
They are going to turn the screws hard on us.
We no longer can ask why the Jews willingly walked up the ramps and into the cattle cars.
If so.........
Suicide or Arkenside ?
Certainly cant have him under oath and say he did not fear for his life or was being threatened with a weapon or bodily harm and acted in appropriately.
It is the beginning of the end. . . tribulation, Tribulation with a capital T, anti-Christ and False Prophet, etc., . . . . but believers in the Lord Jesus Christ will have a forever glorious ending!!!!!
The American people will now be boiled slowly like the proverbial frog. By the time the patriot Americans realize the seriousness of the situation, I am afraid it will be too late. Their wealth will be confiscated via wealth tax, their guns will be confiscated via expensive registration yearly fees and their votes will disappear in electronic smoke in Dominion machines.
Unless Dominion machines are outlawed or destroyed, there is no way to defeat the leftists. They don’t even need dead voters, illegal voters or new immigrants. Just a few clicks of the mouse is enough.
The guy who shot her was black, this guy is white?
Is that true? That she wants to somehow revoke his citizenship?
could this be bats being handed out to antifa/BLM? it was posted on thedonald.win. someone suggested they could have been used to smash windows.
when I posted it previously, someone commented: “Those bats also have a golf ball sized mace attached about 4 inches from their end.”
I see a blonde woman and a well-dressed (not riot-style) guy passing these “bats” through the window. who are they?
Video: 32s: Parler: Handing tools from the inside to those outside? no broken glass?
