He would need proof, as in a court of law proof. The courts and states have said there was no fraud or they would have decertified electors.

The states lied and the courts have taken their cues from the GOP. Pence has had two months to use his GOP establishment credentials to gain support to stop the steal. He has not.

Yes this is my point exactly.. unless we get election reform, the republicans are never going to win the presidency again. Its been trending away from us state wise for several cycle. NC is a toss. GA is purple. AZ is purple. OH and FLA still require a lot of work. TX is being invaded by liberals from CA... I don’t see Blue states trending our way..
The VP has almost no authority under the U.S. Constitution. “Giving a damn” plus $1.50 would have gotten him a cup of coffee.
I agree to an extent. If there is known criminality involved
with an election outcome, something must be done.
I do think taking the least impactful action to address it
is the way to go. Toss it back to the states. DEMAND they
do better.
This still leaves him options later.

We need to make sure we do this in a way that all citizens
can at least grasp what’s going on even if they don’t like it.
This is uncharted territory and I don’t think it’s easy
knowing exactly the right thing to do.
As you say, if it was as easy as Pence tipping the election
to Trump, Biden could have take similar action in 2016.
He’s not sending it to the state legislatures. He’s failed.
I’m not talking about today. I’m talking about the past two months. Pence has aided and abetted the “no evidence” gaslighting through his inaction.
He won’t do that? See my tagline. I’ve had it up for a couple of months now. I believe my president is not lying. That he will do whatever it takes to see that we have an honest vote count. And that includes martial law and/or the insurrection act. Therefore, if he does not follow through and declare martial law and/or invoke the insurrection act, then he will be proven a liar.
President Trump has done all he could. So far. He has rallied his supporters. He has gone through the courts. He has gone through every legal process. He has gone through his vice president and Congress certifying the EC votes right now as we speak. All of that has failed. But he still has these nuclear options. I fully expect him to be a man and keep his promise. For Trump to stop now and concede and prepare for a Biden inauguration would mean that Trump would be a quitter and a liar.
I’m all on board with that.
The problem for our side is we are typically working.

All we can do now is seek out the stocks that will not be impacted by socialism.

I look on the current congressional rules as rules but not the constitution. the constitution is the ultimate law of the land, to be consulted during any dispute concerning what is the law of the land.

sometimes it takes courage to defend the constitution in the face of physical challenges. besides wars, one example is the battle of athens.
i suppose that pence can do what he wants to do one way or another. but his actions will be forever written in history books, one way or another. his actions will be judged accordingly.
