Fox news:
155, ORIG. TEXAS V. PENNSYLVANIA, ET AL. The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot. Statement of Justice Alito, with whom Justice Thomas joins: In my view, we do not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction. See Arizona v. California, 589 U. S. ___ (Feb. 24, 2020) (Thomas, J., dissenting). I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue.

“standing” is rapidly becoming code word around the country for “your not well-enough in favor with the UniParty to be officially heard”..

Trump’s pro-business, pro-job tax cuts created an extraordinary financial boom that caused the wages of blue collar workers to rise more than for any other groups and a great increase in available jobs. It wasn’t the blue collar whites who supported him in 2016 who didn’t vote for Trump this time; it was the affluent, “educated” urban and suburban elites who like to play-act at being socialists.
To: who_would_fardels_bear
Yes, Secede.... had a brain freeze I was so mad at the cowardice of the Trump-appointed justices.

Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. The colonies have not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another colony objects to a small tax on tea.
Motion to unite and defy the crown is subsequently denied.

King George III by Johann Zoffany c.1771 |
King George's response to the Declaration of Independence
His Majesty’s Most Gracious Speech to Both Houses of Parliament
on Thursday, October 31, 1776
My Lords, and Gentlemen,
Nothing could have afforded Me so much Satisfaction as to have been able to inform you, at the Opening of this Session, that the Troubles, which have so long distracted My Colonies in North America, were at an End; and that My unhappy People, recovered from their Delusion, had delivered themselves from the Oppression of their Leaders, and returned to their Duty. But so daring and desperate is the Spirit of those Leaders, whose Object has always been Dominion and Power, that they have now openly renounced all Allegiance to the Crown, and all political Connection with this Country. They have rejected, with Circumstances of Indignity and Insult, the Means of Conciliation held out to them under the Authority of Our Commission: and have presumed to set up their rebellious Confederacies for Independent States. If their Treason be suffered to take Root, much Mischief must grow from it, to the Safety of My loyal Colonies, to the Commerce of My Kingdoms, and indeed to the present System of all Europe.
One great Advantage, however, will be derived from the Object of the Rebels being openly avowed, and clearly understood. We shall have Unanimity at Home, founded in the general Conviction of the Justice and Necessity of Our Measures.
I am happy to Inform you, that, by the Blessing of Divine Providence on the good Conduct and Valour of My Officers and Forces by Sea and Land, and on the Zeal and Bravery of the Auxiliary Troops in My Service, Canada is recovered; and although, from unavoidable Delays, the Operations at New York could not begin before the Month of August, the Success in that Province has been so important as to give the strongest Hopes of the most decisive good Consequences. But, notwithstanding this fair Prospect, We must, at all Events, prepare for another Campaign.
I continue to receive Assurances of Amity from the several Courts of Europe; and am using My utmost Endeavours to conciliate unhappy Differences between Two neighbouring Powers; and I still hope, that all Misunderstandings may be removed, and Europe continue to enjoy the inestimable Blessings of Peace. I think nevertheless that, in the present Situation of Affairs, it is expedient that We should be in a respectable State of Defence at Home.
Gentlemen of the House of Commons, I will order the Estimates for the ensuing Year to be laid before you. It is [a] Matter of real Concern to Me, that the important Considerations which I have stated to you must necessarily be followed by great Expence: I doubt not, however, but that My faithful Commons will readily and chearfully grant Me such Supplies, as the Maintenance of the Honour of my Crown, the Vindication of the just Rights of Parliament, and the Publick Welfare shall be found to require.
My Lords, and Gentlemen, in this arduous Contest I can have no other Object but to promote the true Interests of all My Subjects. No people ever enjoyed more Happiness, or lived under a milder Government, than those now revolted Provinces: the Improvements in every Art, of which they boast, declare it: their Numbers, their Wealth, their Strength by Sea and Land, which they think sufficient to enable them to make Head against the whole Power of the Mother Country, are irrefragable Proofs of it. My Desire is to restore to them the Blessings of Law and Liberty, equally enjoyed by every British Subject, which they have fatally and desperately exchanged for all the Calamities of War, and the arbitrary Tyranny of their Chiefs.

"The one good thing that has come out of this is that GA will be on the hot seat in the run off with everyone watching out for fraud." I don't think we'll need to watch out for it, it'll be right in our face.! They got clean away with stealing the presidency, so they'll have absolutely NO fear of repercussions for the next heist..
Law and order in the good old USA is now, how did the SCOTUS say that, MOOT.!!

I’m much younger (millennial), and I wasn’t taught those things in school, but I’ve done a lot of research into that era, and the 50s/early 60s were good times for the USA. And I agree with a lot of what you were taught.
But many people got complacent and the darkness was able to creep in. We are in the situation we are in today due to a combination of leftist takeover of academia, Hollywood, and many of our institutions, and the ‘deep state’ wanting globalism and neverending conflict because it lines pockets of giant corporations and defense contractors. Basically, the desire for power and the love of money at the expense of everything else.
We are at a dark point, and some things may get worse, and some things may change significantly. Maybe the USA will have to split up in order for things to calm down.
But we know from history that our ideas and values work and lead to prosperity and that their ideas fail, so it’s important that we continue to believe and fight for them.

I’ve been seeing this day coming for awhile now.
We have Jesus, so there’s always HOPE - and we have no idea how awesome that really is, so it’s faith right now. I will never give that up.
Seems like the door to the Church Age is about to shut completely soon.

“””Yes, you’re right, it’s up to the state legislatures. We shall see what happens.”””
You are partially right that it is up to the state legislatures.
But, before that happens it is up to the spineless NATIONAL REPUBLICAN PARTY to put enormous pressure on the State Legislatures in GA, MI, PA and WI to override the popular vote in those four states and name their own slate of Electors.

No drama. All I said was that I would not bet against him and his comment. Because he COULD be right, and he COULD be wrong. I would only place my money on a sure bet. Hence, I would not bet against him, because the bet would not be a sure thing.
But there is a sure thing, and that is what totalitarian socialist states do to their “citizens,” and I put “citizens” in quotes because under such tyrannies there are no real citizens. Such states are responsible for upwards of 100 million deaths in the 20th century alone. And those deaths are puny in number if considered against what modern technology could achieve.
I’m not being dramatic; I’m being realistic.
