A Pennsylvania elementary school principal has filed a lawsuit against the school district that fired her after she shared on her Facebook page conservative memes, including one that read it is better to vote for a potato than Joe Biden.
Veteran educator Amy Sacks, principal of Evergreen Elementary School in the Perkiomen Valley School District, where she has worked for 20 years, posted a number of conservative memes to her Facebook page, which can be viewed in the report at the Daily Mail.

According to the report, her lawsuit claims the school district superintendent told Sacks that her posts were offensive to a parent who reported them.
After having been fired in July, Sacks posted on Thanksgiving Day, ‘Many of you know that I am no longer the Principal of Evergreen Elementary at this time.”
“However, the circumstances surrounding this situation have been kept quiet until now,” she said.
Ott-Sacks added that her superintendent, Barbara Russell, “decided that the First Amendment Freedom of Speech has no place in public schools and that teachers and administrators are unfit to serve if they hold and express political beliefs that are right of center.”
She continued, according to the report:
I am reaching out to you today to share with you that as Principal of Evergreen Elementary School I was terminated because I expressed right of center political views – PRIVATELY.

But facebook is a private site. That is the excuse libertarians on this site use to defend Fecesbook when they censor conservatives, suspend their accounts in advance of the election “just because”, or downthrottle their page views.
Agree totally. The schools is how they got this far. We MUST take our schools back. The children being our future isn’t just a sappy song.

Me either. It has to be a bottom up thing, not top down. All the good little socialists teaching our kids were not mandated to be socialist, the colleges did that. Now, it’s rare for a child of public schools and public universities to be anything but a socialist.
We can rid ourselves of socialists, there would be no one left to teach. But we can monitor, to make sure the socialists keep their vile ideas to themselves, and not indoctrinate.
A vote for Biden IS a vote for a potato.

If her supervisor was stupid enough to make such a statement, then Sacks has an airtight wrongful termination suit.
What a load huh. But, talking to one the nurses at the local VA yesterday and she said “they” monitor the employess social media and one of her co-workers got into a little hot water for posting something positive and a pic of PDJT. The nurse was not happy saying that PDJT’s picture is in the freakin’ lobby of the VA so WTH? Ergo-——social media can phu cough. Never had it, never will. Except FR that is. And no doubt “they” have all of our names by now. :-)
Yeah, tell that to folks that belong to the National Realtors Association. They head cheeses just added a clause to their bylaws allowing you to be booted and cancelled if “caught” posting anything racis or hateful on your social media. Who it is that decides what is racis’ or hateful? Guess it’s written in there someplace. Possibly costing someone their license?

She will get a large settlement, the school district’s lawyer won’t let this go to court.
