No, I think you’re right. They’ve filed to be “friends of the court,” and not as plaintiffs. Still, it strengthens the case, and they can provide legal support and expand upon the case from Texas. (Also, from what I understand.)

I don't watch TV, and I don't watch CNN/FOX/MSNBC or any of the other FAKE NEWS channels ... so does anyone know if these facts are being reported by the FAKE NEWS?

Or are they doing as I'd expect which is to ignore it?

This is AMICI CURIAE which means they are not part of the particular litigation but are allowed by the court to advise.

The other states are not joining as plaintiffs. They are filing briefs in support of Texas.

I’ll bring Lil Farmer’s great explanation post, of the reason why, here....

The Sekulow show is explaining everything. These states are not joining the lawsuit right now, but filing amicus briefs in support of the case. This still gives weight to the Texas case without creating delays filing motions to add all of them. If a state joined the actual case, that is called intervening. So far only Trump is going to be added as an intervenor.

So, they also are talking what happens if SCOTUS rules in favor of Texas, what will happen is the legislature in the 4 states will have to choose electors. If they cant come to an agreement, it goes to the House of Representatives.

They are talking a lot about Georgia. The speaker they have on there “Andy” is from Georgia. He is knowledgeable about Ga and is stunned at what is happening here.

If this suit fails, said litigant states should secede. But probably no guts. Even though feds/other states wouldnt have the backbone to oppose. I would pull of stakes and move to one of those states.

All of these states have not yet joined as plaintiffs nor have they filed such a motion yet.

“It looks like Tennessee showed up! Yay!”

I was glad to see Tennessee sign on. Trump won by a large percentage of votes in TN... Lots of folk upset with the fraud which is so visible.

Todd Rokita, the incoming Indiana AG, encouraged the outgoing one to sign on.

Todd’s been SoS and a House Rep. Got the photo ID requirement going in Indiana. Tried to be Governor but Holcomb beat him out

SCOTUS upheld Rokita’s photo ID law.

Important: Texas has a motion for leave to file. That motion can be denied in a single sentence.

I would rather see all 16 states join as actual Plaintiffs, or file their own lawsuits. Amicus Curiae docs usually are fluff, and easily ignored.
