You may be surprised to learn that of the trio of long-awaited coronavirus vaccines, the most promising, Moderna’s mRNA-1273, which reported a 94.5 percent efficacy rate on November 16, had been designed by January 13. This was just two days after the genetic sequence had been made public in an act of scientific and humanitarian generosity that resulted in China’s Yong-Zhen Zhang’s being temporarily forced out of his lab. In Massachusetts, the Moderna vaccine design took all of one weekend. It was completed before China had even acknowledged that the disease could be transmitted from human to human, more than a week before the first confirmed coronavirus case in the United States. By the time the first American death was announced a month later, the vaccine had already been manufactured and shipped to the National Institutes of Health for the beginning of its Phase I clinical trial. This is — as the country and the world are rightly celebrating — the fastest timeline of development in the history of vaccines. It also means that for the entire span of the pandemic in this country, which has already killed more than 250,000 Americans, we had the tools we needed to prevent it .
To be clear, I don’t want to suggest that Moderna should have been allowed to roll out its vaccine in February or even in May, when interim results from its Phase I trial demonstrated its basic safety. “That would be like saying we put a man on the moon and then asking the very same day, ‘What about going to Mars?’ ” says Nicholas Christakis, who directs Yale’s Human Nature Lab and whose new book, Apollo’s Arrow, sketches the way COVID-19 may shape our near-term future.

(1) Approved to be safe, if not necessarily effective. Pay for it if you want it.
(2) Approved to be safe and effective, and therefore covered by government health insurance programs such as Medicare and Medicaid and mandated to be covered by private insurance.
(3) Approved and mandated to attend school or even leave your house. Most Freepers would oppose such a mandate.
Americans have become more tolerant of recreational drugs such as marijuana. It is strange to legalize marijuana but severely restrict drugs that could save lives. If people could have *chosen* to take experimental vaccines early on, maybe a pandemic would have been avoided.

Rats have well known resistance to many diseases.
This is not a true vaccine. Instead of creating an immune response this drug (that’s what it really is) genetically modifies the patient and causes the patient’s body to produce proteins that will hopefully wrap themselves around viruses and prevent them from attaching to healthy cells.
The problem is what else will these proteins attach themselves to? What happens if they attach to neurons and glia in the body and they strangle those cells too?
Also, if the body produces too much of this protein the resulting symptoms will include diarrhea, headaches, weight loss, fatigue, low blood pressure, slow heart rate, and a general discomfort.
I say let’s have Dr. Fauci take it first and then we’ll see what happens.

The vaccine may have been designed in January 2020, but it had neither been formulated, tested in animals, produced in quantities sufficient for clinical trials, received the go-ahead from the FDA for clinical trials, undergone Phase 1, 2, and 3 clinical trials, etc. etc.
In other words, this “New York Magazine” article is pure BS, as usual!!!! PHOOEY!!!!

First COVID-19 vaccine trial at Kaiser Permanente Washington
NIH-funded trial of Moderna mRNA vaccine is first of any for COVID-19.

On March 16, 2020, Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute gave the first-ever injection of an investigational vaccine for the 2019 novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, to volunteers participating in phase one of the federally sponsored clinical trial.
This is the first vaccine trial for this virus, which causes COVID-19, in humans. The KPWHRI trial began recruiting participants on March 3.
“We are proud that the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases selected us to conduct this innovative trial,” said Lisa Jackson, MD, MPH, senior investigator at KPWHRI. “We’re well prepared and focused on helping to address this evolving health situation.” Dr. Jackson is the lead researcher for the study, funded by the National Institutes of Health.
The investigational vaccine is called mRNA-1273 and made by Moderna. The vaccine is made using a new process that is much faster than older methods of making vaccines. It does not contain any part of the actual coronavirus and cannot cause infection. Instead, it includes a short segment of messenger RNA that is made in a lab.
The initial trial is a small “phase I” test involving 45 participants—part of a 3-phase process that is necessary to determine whether a vaccine works. In this first phase, KPWHRI researchers are testing the safety of various doses and whether these doses produce an immune response. Phase I trials are not designed to determine whether the vaccine is effective in preventing coronavirus infection. That work comes at a later phase of the vaccine research.
KPWHRI’s path to this important role:
KPWHRI’s vaccine research team has expertise in conducting these kinds of trials, including testing other investigational vaccines against “swine” (H1N1) and “bird” (influenza A) flu.
KPWHRI became Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Units, or VTEU, site in 2007, and it is the only one of the nation’s 9 VTEU centers not housed at a university medical center. Since 1962, the VTEUs have played a key role in developing new and improved vaccines and therapies against infectious diseases.
This reminds me of the announcement made about the discovery of the HIV virus as the cause of AIDS. Even before the paper related to the discovery was made public, a patent had already been obtained for the virus.
Another interesting side is that in early January the French government took all the chloroquine out of the pharmacies where it had been sold over the counter for 64 years and required a prescription.
THIS is just a cover up story just in case it’s found that CHINA had the vaccine BEFORE they released their covid bombs and you can bet your ass that all INSURRECTIONISTS were vaccinated EFORE the covid bombs were dropped.

Regardless of vaccine development milestones, I’m not taking an untested vaccine. And I would demand to be tested at three times for COVID-19 status before taking vaccine, for better evidence of a positive. After all, the daily vitamin D3 could be paying off.
In fact, not testing your COVID-19 status before getting vaccinated is throwing scientific data away concerning how virus spreads in my non-medical opinion.
In contrast, medical services are arguably following the money with vaccine.
This “pandemic” was a collusion of the CCP and DNC to cause world wide panic and a crash of our economic health with a concentrated result to rig our election by the use of mail in ballot fraud. Joe Biden admitted as much with his bragging about DNC voter fraud perfection.

Yikes. I'll take a hard pass on being a guinea pig for untested experimental vaccines. I've seen what happens when scientists decide to experiment on people without controls just to see what happens. It was called the Tuskegee experiment. It was dreadful and repugnant and I won't volunteer to be part of another. Make your vaccine safe and prove it before you start experimenting on people.
Wow that article really comes from somebody who doesn’t know how things work. Designed don’t mean a thing. Then you gotta make. Make it consistently. And find out if it’s safe or even works. Cars get designed years before they show up on the show room. That’s the easy part.
I ll be 58 years old. Been shot at, stabbed at, bludgeoned, kicked around. Been yelled at numerous times for being a non believer and for not wearing a face diaper Haven’t have as much as the sniffles. So, I think I’ll take my chances and just keep living my life.

Tested for long term effects and found to not be harmful.
Stupid article. Designed is not manufactured. In January it was not known if the design would result in an effective product. As of now, it appears that the design has resulted in an effective product. So, to say that we were sitting on the vaccine for 11 months is ridiculous. But it’s New York Mag, so that explains the stupidity.
How about:
1) Bringing back liability for all vaccines, for starters.
2) Keeping to requiring the animal/challenge tests ESPECIALLY for coronviruses where new infection has proven deadly with vaccines developed to date.
3) Making clear the experimental nature of mRNA “vaccines”.
4) Pointing out the research showing sterilization as a likely result of these Gates vaccines.
Then if you want to pay for them on your own dime, I suppose that’s okay.
