John Brennan’s first encounter with Israel left a distinctly unfavorable impression. On a cold winter night in December 1975, the 20-year-old, who had just visited Jordan, arrived at the Allenby Bridge to enter Israel as a tourist. Brennan, an American student at the American University in Cairo, wanted to see the Holy Land and learn about Israel and the region in depth. At passport control he asked an Israeli soldier who was on duty not to stamp his passport, so he would be able to continue his travels in the Middle East unhindered. “Don’t tell me what to do,” was the impolite retort – some would say the characteristic response, reflecting the feeling of a conqueror.
Brennan was expecting the worst. But to his surprise the soldier handed it back to me “with a smile, and said ‘Welcome to Israel,’” he recalls. “The week that I spent traveling in Israel and the West Bank was thrilling.”
A few years later, Brennan would join the CIA and rise through the ranks to become the intelligence agency’s director, in 2013. Over the years, his opinion of Israel also changed. In dozens of visits and meetings he came to know and understand the Israelis’ complex character and their country’s tangled situation in the Middle East, along with witnessing the last decade of how Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ruling Israel.
“He is a very cagey and wily political operative and politician,” Brennan says when asked his opinion of the prime minister today. “He has, I think, a very, very astute understanding and manipulation of Israeli, domestic politics,” he says, adding, however, that Netanyahu...

Brennan is a self avowed Muslim- no one ever asked his religious status at his confirmation hearings. Having a Muslim CIA director always boggled my mind, and explains a lot of Nobama’s actions to weaken the US.

I not only don’t care what Brennan says, I don’t trust him as far as I could pick up and throw an aircraft carrier. If he said that the sky was blue, I’d look up to be sure.

There needs to be an international uproar from non-Muslim countries that a U.S. agency that operates abroad was headed by a Muslim.
Words cannot properly express my contempt for John Brennan. In a fair and just society he would be buried in the Super Max prison.
