Alito Moves Up Deadline For Supreme Court Briefing In Pennsylvania Case, Bringing Within 'Safe Harbor' Window To Intervene

Analysis of the linked article via ZeroHedge: https://www.zerohedge.com/political/alito-moves-deadline-supreme-court-briefing-pennsylvania-case-bringing-within-safe-harbor

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has made a critical decision which may signal that court's willingness to hear a controversial case attempting to flip Pennsylvania's 2020 election results.

Originally, Alito set a Wednesday deadline for the state to respond to GOP Rep. Mike Kelly's lawsuit alleging that a 2019 state election reform, known as Act 77, violates both the state and federal constitutions by creating a so-called "no-excuse mail-in" voting regime.

Many took the Wednesday deadline as political theater, as it would place the case outside the "safe harbor" window which requires that controversies "concerning the appointment of all or any of the electors . . . by judicial or other methods or procedures" to be determined" at least six days before the time fixed for the meeting of the electors," according to Law & Crime.

In other words, the Tuesday deadline may signal that the Supreme Court takes Kelly's case, which was rejected by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court with prejudice last weekend.

A third good thing...

By moving it up one day... the court acts in timely enough fashion that their decisions will have immediate impact... and avoid passing “deadlines” for court action altering results.

The court looks like it will hear the case.

It looks like they’ll hear a narrow and well focused argument that avoids distractions.

And they’ll hear the case in time to make it matter.

The number should be .26% of votes not 26% according to Bannon’s war room reporter. Still, it showed that vote tallies are skewed to help Biden.

Maybe you forgot.

But who led the charge for specious accusations of running a rape train, against Kavanaugh, during his confirmation hearings?

Heels-Up Harris.

Who ran the high-tech lynching against Thomas, during his confirmation?

Biden.

And Pennsylvania flipped Alito the bird.

Together with the Glorious ACB, that's four.

All ALL the remaining five, OK with turning the US into a banana republic and having the court packed?

WOW do you sound like a B.TCH

Go change your panties and GTH of here.

And then watch the scene in The Godfather after his godson cries like a little fruit like you’re doing, saying “i don’t know what to do, I don’t know what to do..”..

“YOU CAN ACT LIKE A MAN!!”

“Time for arms then.”

at this point, that is most likely how it will wind up.

sad but true. things aren’t boiling over yet, but the pot is certainly bubbling up.

yes, there will be a casualty count when it’s all over.
I just hope that USA v.2 has better systems in place to prevent another situation that got us to where we are today

not necessarily. I’m not going to start kum-ba-ya’ing for the future of America knowing what has happened and is happening.

There isn’t too much to be optimistic about.

I refuse to embrace the biden alternative to Trump but again, realistically, what can and will be done. Is our only plan to rely on Trump saying we wont lose and hope the SC magically decides to negate the election? will the military get involved if Trump went that far?
unlikely.

Trump is however, one of the few people who I would actually trust if martial law was implemented to clean up this mess.

Note the change in Arizona, today, also ?

An initial audit of a small sample showed 2% error... enough the change the election. An expanded sample showed 11% error... “massive” fraud.

Georgia and Arizona matter... because the proof of fraud is there, already... making the denials of fraud even being an issue pointless.

That matters in its TIMING, too... because as the case TIMELY goes to the SCOTUS, one of the realities is that judges react to context. If there “might have been a bit of fraud” but there wasn’t evidence or proof it mattered in changing results, the justices might still demur in taking up the case, and might allow the “news media” to get away with lying that redefines reality in context.

Because there are solid proofs of fraud, now, and clear showing that fraud was sufficient to alter results... and as the TREND continues to expand the mass of evidence ? Makes the context work FOR the Trump argument, not against it...

Actually, it turns the media refusal to see the fraud... into a proof of the fraud being far more extensive than the liars want you to know...

Trump is winning this...

“...it just means they are preparing for the reality of the broken tracks up ahead.”

WRONG!

Have the electors to be sent all been chosen?

Have any voted?

Has the Congress seen the votes?

Have all Senators and Representatives (it only takes ONE of each to object) approved the votes of the electors?

Has the next president been sworn in? (January 20th)

So I guess your statement WAS NOT REALITY!

The tracks ahead are covered in a fog and NO ONE knows if they are broken or not.

Again, your statement is just conjecture and premature by 45 days. In other words, WORTHLESS!

Our founding fathers were in many cases very wealthy men who had not only their wealth to lose, but they were also facing the certainty that if their rebellion failed they would all be hung for treason against the king. Yet today, we have a lot of self-described “patriots” who won’t take even the slightest personal risk in order to defend their country. I see it all the time, and it’s mostly because no matter what they say, they value the nice cars or the beautiful house or even their social relationships more than they value freedom and the founding principles that made those material comforts possible.

I really do hate to say it, but a lot of our Trump-supporting, Gadsden flag-waving brothers and sisters simply won’t do even a fraction of what the founding fathers did, or what they warned us would ALWAYS be necessary for us to do to preserve our freedoms. Sure, they say all the right things when there is no personal risk for doing so, but suddenly hem and haw when words must turn into action. I think far too many people believe the right things, but as soon as they see that their beliefs might require more of them than they are willing to provide they tell themselves that that is “crazy talk.”

However, evil NEVER sleeps, and it never shies from doing WHATEVER is necessary to advance its agenda (see my tag line). The left is VERY active and determined, with no mental constraints or limits to their actions, while we sit worrying that we might lose a job or a comfy lifestyle or some friends. So, we tell ourselves that to act would be “crazy”, or we rationalize our inaction by saying, “The left has already won; nothing we can do.”

If that’s the way you think, then you might as well stop calling yourself a “patriot” right this second, and do what you can to negotiate yourself a slightly larger portion of gruel from your Marxist masters.

Is moving the date up one day is good or bad???!

Very hard to read tea leaves on SCOTUS orders. If (and that's a big if) Alito denies the motion for a stay, that will put Pennsylvania's certification within the safe harbor period (and thus not contestable further). If Alito grants the stay, all bets are off.

In the decimal system, the ranks are (going left from the decimal place) ones, tens, hundreds, thousands. Going to the right, the ranks are: tenths, hundredths, thousandths. You know this. However, you seem to have forgotten:

When calculating using percentages, one is the total. 0.26 is twenty six one hundredths, or twenty six PER CENT.

It’s an easy error to make.

there’s more than just hope because the entire complexion of SCOTUS has changed since Ginsburg.
There would not have been a prayer of hope had she not croaked.
SCOTUS should be expected to handle this entire issue in our favor. It is a conservative court now.
There is a “normalcy bias” of the last 10 years of SCOTUS as a lib court. No longer the case.

Sounds like we may not be all that far apart, just tilting slightly in one direction vs. another direction. But we both agree that if anyone can pull off a miracle, it’s Pres. Trump. I can live with that.

Btw, my earlier comment wasn’t actually aimed at you; it was meant generally. There are some on various threads who are SO negative that one wonders if they should maybe call a suicide hotline. :-)

(H/T SENSE) Thank the Pennsylvania Legislature for its opinion disputing the election result,
<><> wherein it refused the appointment of electors,
<><> that choice would have avoided the application of the law imposing a deadline.
<><> PA's decision enabled a failure to act, leaving controversies unresolved, that obviated time limits on actions
<><> which rendered the ruse of delaying until after the deadline moot.
<><> The USSC court was unable to dodge its responsibility in that manner .. ...and has now opted to drop the ruse.
