Gordon, thank you. WJFK, Radio Free DC.
Walter, thank you.
And your wives, who “let you.”
I read his auto-biography, “Up from the Projects”. He has always been an entertaining author, offering humor and wisdom together.
Bruce Herschensohn - wonderful, sincere, encouraging, considerate fellow
A good man. A well-lived life.
Well, on the good side, at least Walter will not have to watch America devolve to a communist nation of extreme tyranny.
I loved his humor while he was guest hosting for Rush, particularly when he’d say things like he bought a new mop for his wife for Christmas so she wouldn’t have to do the floors on her knees. Alas he lost Mrs Williams, whom he plainly loved, years ago. Now she can get him a sandwich in heaven
May God Bless and Keep Forever this GREAT WRITER and thinker.
Rest In Peace
This year really sucks.........................
The person who is reporting it at the source above (Cafe Hyak) is a professor of economics at George Mason University in the same department where Walter E. Williams taught.
RIP
Wonder if Rush will talk about him today. I remember when he was hosting Rush's show, he talked about buying a vacuum cleaner fora Christmas present. A feminist called to complain...
I recommend his book for some fabulous reading about his life..his time in the Army etc. I didn’t realize he wrote so many so it has to be Up From The Projects....his bio!
I remember the story he told on Rush’s show years ago about getting ready to go to his job at the university one morning and walking out to the street to take in his garbage can. A motorist stopped and asked him if he was free to do some work for him. Here is Walter Williams dressed in a suit, black and of course, he’s setting out to do household chores for someone!
Prayers to his family and RIP, Walter E. Williams... You are missed...
“”he talked about buying a vacuum cleaner fora Christmas present. A feminist called to complain... “”
He loved to rattle people’s cages...Always called his wife Mrs. Williams and always talked about buying her some household appliance as a gift....
“”Bruce Herschensohn, the conservative commentator, author of nonfiction and fiction books, and filmmaker passed away a few days ago. “”
I hadn’t heard that and I hadn’t heard anything about or from him in years. Used to love his common sense. Darn....does that mean there’s a 3rd one to come? Can we choose?
Walter “E” Williams
One of the amazing guys out there. He and I were on the same campus some years ago I regret not having met him.
Sad news. I first heard him when he substituted for Rush from time to time. I remember him speaking about his wife, who passed in 2007. He is in Heaven with her, and our Lord today. God rest his soul, and may the Lord bless and comfort his family and friends.
Not all but many in this country are gloBULLists. In every other country the economists preach the virtues of protection and mercantilism. Our economists are all traitors in that sense.
Oh, no, his death is, indeed, a great loss. Rest in peace, Dr. Williams.
Still remember him on Philadelphia TV many years ago. He was the lone conservative on a news program with a group that talked politics. Without saying how I know, I’ll just say I heard that Dr. Williams’ extended family teased him about politics at family reunions, but they loved him dearly.
Hope not. But Rush Limbaugh may not be with us much longer and Thomas Sowell turned 90 last June.
