Well, well, well. Now it all makes sense.

So this means any time you talk about Mattis, you’re also talking about China.

Especially you consider how we all rallied ty Mattis's and other sellouts' defense when they came under attack by demonicRATS.
Maybe we are chumps. We've been played for such many times

This kind of greedy and traitorous corruption is pervasive among the Beltway Bandits of DC.
They're constantly hiring retired military officers and civil servants for their "connections," and sometimes at bargain basement prices (compared to dirtbag K Street lawyers/fixers).
There has NEVER EVER been a serious call or effort to stop this corruption of former federal staffers and retirees as they are lured into the swamp to capitalize on the public trust.
Even "retired" elected officials - and this includes both Republican and Democrats - leave office and immediately open or join K Street "consultancies." They are getting wealthy at public expense.
That's the swamp, plain and simple.
To: george76
A lot of military officers who excel in the field and military office politics, really, really need to stay out of and shut up about civilian matters for few years after retiring.

“America First”
To me that phrase isn’t egotistical, but means that some want to knock us down and we’re not going to let that happen.

But you know, he’s always had a flair for the dramatic.

Every officer O-7 and above needs to be scrutinized. I would say 90% are deep staters and need to be retired. I would even go back as far as the Clinton administration - example being Weasly Clark who was the butcher of Waco and almost started a war with the Russians in the Balkans.
The President is the commander in chief, and these generals serve at the pleasure of the President.

For a good many years, I carried Gen Mattis as an exemplary officer, one I’d willingly follow into battle.
Today? Not so much.
Another hero fallen from grace.
