Video from Justin Trudeau's Sept. 29 announcement that they would be pledging an additional $400 million to humanitarian aid spending has reemerged, noting Trudeau's use of the word "reset."
The announcement was followed by a joint news conference with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres and Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness.
Trudeau said funding would go to "to trusted partners on the ground fighting COVID-19," saying that "Canada believes that a strong, coordinated response across the world and across sectors is essential. This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset."
Justin Trudeau calling the coronavirus pandemic an opportunity for a reset as per the WEF, and parroting the ‘build back better’ line which Biden just so happened to use as a campaign slogan.
"Building back better means getting support to the most vulnerable while maintaining our momentum on reaching the 2030 agenda for sustainable development," said the prime minister. "Canada is here to listen and to help. This is our chance to help your pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality, and climate change."
