Washington D.C has been overrun by Trump supporters. No rioting, no looting, no burning down buildings.
BIG distinction between us and the party of hate.
Went to the rally. Had to leave early, but I was there for a lot of it.
LOTS OF PEOPLE! I have no idea what the crowd size was because I never had a vantage point where I could see it all. During the march portion, I was able to get up onto a low wall and the street was packed as far as I could see in both directions.
Helicopter made a few passes over the crowd during the rally/speech/premarch portion of the event.
TONS of Trump flags. Many handmade signs. Tons of Trump t-shirts.
A few Trump signs in the windows of the buildings surrounding Freedom Plaza.
People from ALL OVER. I spoke with several from FL, some from Maine, a few from TX/OK via Maryland.
Black, white, Asian, Latino, Am Indian.
Alex Jones seemed to be holding a counter-rally or competing rally. There was a tiny group on the edge that seemed to have something different going on from the main speeches. People near me said it was AJ. IMO he was trying to make it about him or take control of the rally. No chance. Puny effort. Few paying attention.
During the march portion, I said to a friend “There are some AJ people near us. Let’s move faster and get away from them.” Well, apparently one of them was right in front of me and took exception to that remark. I am pretty sure he was drunk or stoned. Verbally confrontational. We ignored him and moved away.
General attitude of the crowd was VERY upbeat. Supporting our President. Booing CNN, Fox.
2 man media crew came through the crowd. I asked them what station they were from and they looked angry and wouldn’t answer. So probably not one of the good guys!
Beautiful day. Great vibes. Great opportunity to support our President!

I got there around 12:30. I walked east on H Street, and there were a bunch of nitwits near the front of the WH, but also a ton of cops. A lot of shouting and middle fingers as I walked through them, but I did not feel threatened. At the march itself, almost no opposition, to my surprise. The police must have kept them separate. At one point, a group of Proud Boys seemed to take the bait from a single BLM guy yelling at them, but their leaders eventually corralled them forward. Pretty happy and mellow crowd, very pleasantly surprised. I did not go all the way up the north side of the Capitol to the SC, I heard on the radio that there was some trouble there.
Hard to tell how many - it was a long but not overly-dense parade. Not the million that KMac mentioned, maybe many tens of thousands, maybe more (most of the numbers you hear are inflated - a million is like the Promise Keepers - where the entire Mall is filled). But considering how there was little notice and publicity, it was an impressive showing.
Regarding insane people, have you noticed that everyone walks in the middle of the street now? I guess Covid stays on the sidewalk or something.

The feed I’m watching has four feeds....did have four feeds. Now the three RSBN people in front of a good sized crowd.
It does look like it’s wrapping up....a wonderful, peaceful protest....honoring our election integrity and standing upr for our dear POTUS, is coming to an end.
