Red is red, but...
I am surprised by my own discomfort right now. I know these expected red states go red, but there is something viscerally gut wrenching watching those red states get colored in and called. I think that deep in my mind/heart I thought, ‘surely, very few will vote for this maniac now that they have seen what he has wrought’ and to see that is not the case is the same sickening feeling I had after the 2016 results- the sudden realization that i am living amidst a vast number of people I cannot understand - especially in their stupidity and tolerance of hate.
I don’t know why it is hitting me like this, maybe I thought all the crazy trumpers I saw was really some kind of minority anomaly. but nope - we still have bright red states. sigh.

Because early voting gets counted first I have no clue what a freepers don’t know this
Don’t know whether this matters ....but I was voting today in Loudoun county. Polls were packed at 6 a.m.. We admittedly are in an outpost in the northern most part of N. Virginia, and it’s slightly more rural, but it seemed plenty red to me this a.m.
Of course, the eastern part of our county is far more liberal with transplants and data center workers.
But I’ve also got to wonder. . . Governor has been a total covid douche and people are tired of schools being closed with relatively low infection levels.
I can dream ....would really rather not have to move.
We have seen this pattern in every state, the Rat votes (early and city) get counted first, everyone freaks out, then the in person and rural votes come in and flip the state. And it’s going to happen in every state.
Because they, and all of us in Virginia, know that huge numbers of Dem votes will pour in from NOVA, Richmond, and Norfolk- like they always do...
Seeing some reports of good outcomes for some of our House people though!
