I prefer Alexander’s method with the Gordian Knot...Just slice the thing in two and be done with it.

Not every agent is corrupt but every agent has been brushed with corruption. How long have we been waiting for one of Hannitys “ethical, hard working” agents to come forward?
No, the only course is to get rid of them all and use a Law enforcement system that is currently active and part of the DOJ and based not in D.C. but in Kansas City, far from the swamp.

He has no LE experience ! Intelligence & LE are two different disciplines.

His job won't be to solve crimes, his job will be to root out internal corruption and reform the organization. He has proven that he will not protect the organization by hiding the truth, that's what we need. Not another career federal prosecutor that happily joins in on the weaponization of the FBI as the Mueller then Comey then Wray all have done.

As side benefits the U.S. Marshals service is part of the DOJ so layers of bureaucracy will be swept away.
Another benefit is th Marshals Service is headquartered in Kansas City, far from the swamp.

More of Hannity’s “good guys” saying nothing about it.
Agree, disband the entire thing.

Without LE experience he will have a hard time recognizing it. It’s not always obvious and “questionable practices” can easily be rationalized away to the neophyte.

Grennell needs to to be DIR\CIA. That’s more his world and where he can have the most positive impact.

When you think about who has been hiring FBI people for the last 30 years - is it any wonder they are corrupt?
The FBI was corrupted by J. Edgar Hoover from the get-go. He made the agency his personal fiefdom.

Well I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. The last three appointees to head the FBI were career federal prosecutors with rock solid bona fides in the justice system and how the FBI functions. They all made it more corrupt there to the point where the FBI has lost 100% of it's credibility as a law enforcement agency. Maybe someone who isn't an insider is the way to go.

But if Trump does want to go down the path of bringing in someone with a career law enforcement background I certainly think someone who is (1) not a federal prosecutor (2) is a real cop and (3) is not from the FedGov is the way to go. So a guy like David Clarke would be good, if he'd do it. My concern is that such a person would have too much affinity and respect for the agents and the institution and would be reluctant to take a wrecking ball approach. That's what's needed.

That’s why you bring in outside IG & legal staff to do a top to bottom audit\investigation. They do the real work. Since they’re outsiders there is no potential career cost for them to do their job. The head guy is just the guy who reports to the President & Congress. He just needs to be able to withstand the storm of criticism\accusations from th Rats in Congress & the media. If it’s someone like Clarke the criticism will come with political cost.
