The event scheduled for Tuesday night at his Trump International Hotel was billed as THE Trump campaign's celebration of winning 4 more years in the White House, and POTUS would be in attendance. An email invite to the bash screamed, "It will be absolutely EPIC, and the only thing that could make it better is having YOU there." Very Trump-esque.
However, the Prez is now opting to watch the poll results pour in from the White House ... according to the New York Times.

Another very simple reason, no matter which way it appears to be going on election night, there is NO WAY we will have clear results, at least not when the lawsuits start flying.
Many states will still be counting ballots days after Election Day. So it makes sense not to have any celebrations until that’s all done.
I think the liklihood of rioting is the best explanation. It’s also something they probably don’t want to advertise as their reason.

No doubt, with a mayor that orders her cops to stand down and let Antifa burn the city. Businesses are being boarded up in DC, pretty much sums up expectations.
