I don’t like this. It reminds me of Hitlery cancelling her fireworks three days before the 2016 election.I hope there’s another reasoning for this.
It is best he stay at the White House. Washington area businesses and landmarks are being boarded up anyway already. They know Trump will win. Cities in Minnesota are boarding up also. What does that tell you?
The left has been extremely vocal about being violent on Election night. Would be completely foolish to have Trump put himself and others into harms way, and not be able to be actively working that night responding to requests for help across the country from Feds.
If you wanna feel better, notice that very little campaigning is being done in Ohio, a state that has picked the President since 1960. All indications are that Florida is going solid Trump. Biden is going to Minnesota of all places today!
Never has such a crappy candidate put on such a lousy campaign in modern history. If he can beat Trump, then all of us can spare ourselves of any future misery and pack our bags and sell out of the market on Wednesday of next week. If Biden wins, this country is truly finished. But that isn’t gonnna happen.
Hillary's team thought she was going to win. They didn't cancel fireworks because they thought they were losing.
Several reasons were suggested in the article. The most likely is that we won't know the winner until too late for an election night party.
I have 3 thoughts:
1-Reminds of Hillary cancelling her fireworks as she knew she might lose, but the Clinton Clan was pretty giddy early that evening. Scary
2-This isn’t going to be decided on Election night. It was late in 2016 and we could be looking Bush vs Gore on steroids.
3-Riots - He needs to be in the War Room.
The White House not so much. He's got access to the Secret Service and federal troops and law enforcement and the Situation Room to quell the rioters from the confines of the WH.
I'm sure he's made a calculated decision to treat these radical anarchists as enemy troops that need to be dealt with before any partying goes on. He is on top of his game and has the momentum in his favor. He knows he's going to win.
Trump is not the type of guy who has overt doubts so I think this is a strategic decision to handle the rioters and not put any innocent people in harm's way.
