Here’s an idea for a restaurant: You sell me food and I eat it. You provide an array of items, as many or as few as you think you can manage — let’s call it a “menu” — and you don’t try to make me feel guilty about the item(s) I select. I give you money, you give me food, and then you leave me in peace while I eat. Then I go away and I may or may not come back, depending on how I felt about the experience. Sound good? Maybe we could try that.

Chipotle....the cure for chronic irregularity
The one and only time I ate at Chipolte, I had a nightmarish flashback to chapter 5 of the book 1984, which I read in 1965, when I was in the seventh grade.
Chapter 5 depicted Winston Smith standing in line for lunch in the Cafeteria in the Ministry of Truth. It describes the unadorned concrete walls, the stainless steel unwashed tables, the backless chairs, the slop plopped upon his plate by the bored employee behind the counter, and the general malaise.
It was extremely disheartening. Even worse than food poisoning, it was a blow to my soul.
