Sudan-Israel relations agreed, Donald Trump announces

Sudan is to normalise relations with Israel, US President Donald Trump says - the latest in a series of Arab League countries to do so.

There had been growing speculation Sudan would announce ties in return for being removed from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Sudan had been a foe of Israel since the latter's founding in 1948.

It comes weeks after similar moves by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain.

The two Gulf states became the first in the Middle East to recognise Israel in 26 years.

Jordan signed a peace deal with Israel in 1994, and Egypt in 1979. Mauritania, an African Arab League member, recognised Israel in 2009 but severed ties 10 years later.

The growing number of Arab countries formalising relations with Israel has been condemned by the Palestinians, who see it as a betrayal of their cause.

This is remarkable. Sudan has been in the grip of the same click of communist thieves for 40 years. It was always at the front of the pack pushing for the most militant of actions against the US and especially Israel.

Their economy must be a real wreck by now and they lost their only big dollar earner when the South Sudan seceded and took the oil fields.

Now with no USSR and the Saudis threatening to cut off the gravy train those jackasses are at the end of the line and have squeaked “uncle”

Just look what he and Obama did the last time - destabilized the whole region supporting Muslim Brotherhood and jihadi (ISIS) takeovers.

The biggest refugee crisis since WWII was triggered in Syria, and the major city of Mosul (as populous as LA) was destroyed in block to block high intensity urban warfare.

Libya is still an unstable basket case.

Obama/Biden were a plague of Biblical proportions upon the people of that region.

Agree Beau. Tangent to that meeting (of which the unpopular here and elsewhere Jared Kushner had a big hand in) and in the relatively same time frame immic was the Air Strike on Syria, our Spec-Operators in Yemen, and the MOAB delivery to the cave entrance to that despot nerve center stronghold in that Mountain in Pakistan. BTW, 200 weren't wacked, I heard as many as 1000. That was the clean up operation and to make way for a peace deal. Rap up the wackadoodles, as we cut their funding, box in Iran, and go forward with peace without the P.A.. I wrote a long email to friends including many who are Jewish in March 2017, it hit me like a ton of lead, he is going for a Peace Deal, it was breathtaking. Many said I hope your right, man it is glorious to see. The frowny faces if they mention it at all on CNN is worth it's wait in gold. As I said in the email in 03/17 it is gonna kill them that this guy got the peace deal. Amazing times...
