The Senate will vote Monday on confirming President Trump's nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, to the Supreme Court.
"With regard to the Supreme Court justice ... we'll be voting to confirm justice-to-be Barrett next Monday," Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said during a weekly press conference, confirming the timing of a final vote on her nomination.
...
Top GOP senators and aides had previously indicated to The Hill that they were likely to set up the final vote for Monday, allowing vulnerable GOP senators to spend the final week before the election back on the campaign trail.
To set up a final vote on Monday, McConnell is expected to tee up Barrett's nomination on Friday, a day after the Judiciary Committee is expected to sign off on her nomination.
The Senate will then hold a procedural vote on Sunday. After that, senators could still debate her nomination for an additional 30 hours.

Yes he did! She incredibly intelligent and beautiful. I need to find a woman like her!
barely 1 month after Ruth Buzzi checked out.....when this sinks in next week, the kooks will really lose it...they’ll be like “WTF JUST HAPPENED?”....cocaine Mitch dont play....
McConnell is offsetting Schumer’s cloture delay and recess vote by having them come in Sunday for it. There will be much lamentation by their women. All of Chucky’s promises to use every possible delay tactic have added up to ZERO days delay. I guess Chuck and Nancy’s quiver was empty after all.
Well, it’s good she will be there, in case of election court battles.
It will be close. The Democrats supposedly have preemptively hired hundreds of attorneys around the country, to deal with legal issues. Look for recounts and lawsuits to happen.
The only way lawsuits will be avoided, would be if Trump wins a clear victory on election day, and it was substantial enough that there would be no way to do recounts or lawsuits in enough places to change the outcome.
Let’s all remember, that there are 51 elections happening, in the 50 states and DC, and thus, 51 varying election laws, would be involved with any challenges to results.
So they would have to pick certain states, and file lawsuits in various states, to try to undo the election, if it comes to that.
Which gets back to having some comfort in having clear eyed clear thinking judges on the Supreme Court, who may be called on to issue rulings.
Thank Lucifer for calling Ginsberg home just in time.
I’m not the most religious person here, I’m sure, however, I don’t doubt that the unseen hand of God can be at work here.
I’m almost thinking many Dems will vote for her....pretending to play nice nice.
WTF! The hearings were last week, why wait till the last minute? Get the vote in ASAP. You know damn well if the situation was reversed the RATS would have had their justice in by this time. The more time goes on the more time we give the RATS a scheme to derail her.
And you’re okay with seven kids...right?
“Im almost thinking many Dems will vote for her....pretending to play nice nice.”
Zip, zero, nada RATS are RATS and never change their colors.
Thank you Cocaine Mitch.
Great! Get her installed on the Supreme Court, bring back that Pennsylvania case and re-vote.
Then grant cert to the ten 2nd amendment cases the Court denied cert to last year because they could not trust John Roberts.
Then bring back the census case and decide that one.
In other words, reverse every last thing Roberts has done in the last year.
“In the quest for justice and equality, Im sure all the females in the senate will vote yea. Right?”
Nope. Two GOP senators, Murkowski and Collins (usually referred to as the Bobsy Twins, as they are generally in lockstep), have already announced they will vote “No.”
No idea. Not privy to the ins and outs of Senate scheduling.
My feeling is that they don’t dare this time with this candidate. That could hurt them with suburban women and they just can’t afford it right before the election.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!
That’s good!!! Real GOOD!!!!!!!
Mitch is assuming 51 rep votes.
“Im almost thinking many Dems will vote for her....pretending to play nice nice.”
Not a chance.
Yep, which is why there has been no real noise about this lately.
