Cancer-stricken talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh provided listeners a somber update on his condition Monday after recent scans showed some progression of cancer, which he said is not dramatic but still a step in the wrong direction.
Limbaugh announced in February that he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and had missed several shows this month to undergo treatment.
From the moment you get the diagnosis, theres a part of you every day, OK, thats it, lifes over, you just dont know when, Limbaugh said. So, during the period of time after the diagnosis, you do what you can to prolong life, do what you can to prolong a happy life. You measure a happy life against whatever medication it takes.
Limbaugh, who recently hosted President Trump for a two-hour interview, continued the devastating update on his diagnosis.
Its tough to realize that the days where I do not think Im under a death sentence are over, Limbaugh continued. Now, we all are, is the point. We all know that were going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it.

Rush has put up a good fight with cancer and Collectivism. Hes the man.
I was starting to lose the radio station to static. I had to pull over to listen to it.
Life is a terminal condition.
Within a month, he will, I pray receive good election news. Can we call that his dying wish so democrats will feel obligated to obey? Or are dying wishes only binding when a leftist (allegedly) makes the wish?
What a great description.
Back in the early 90’s, a co-worked came to the office and heard Rush on my desk radio. He told me that his best friend was Rush’s producer.
I said “Prove it.” Get me an autographed photo.
I still have it.
But it was a few years before his show reached Boston.
But it did...and the rest is history!
1992 for me. As soon as Rush set up his 24/7, (Ditto-Cam and news letter), club I signed up for that immediately. I have really enjoyed watching him do his show live on the Ditto-Cam. Prayers up for Rush!
I wonder who might take over his show. Mr Snerdley (James Golden) perhaps? That would be a good choice. Mark Steyn would also be a good choice.
So sad, such a great man. Hard to imagine life without Rush’s voice. The angels are taking the best. I still miss Don Imus and Jay Severin.
“I truly hope that when the inevitable happens, his funeral is broadcast nationwide as befitting a national figure.”
Can we please not get into all these morbid prognostications ?? He is not dead yet. And by the looks of it he isn’t anywhere near it at the moment.
Nobody is taking anything. Just stop. Jeez.
Spontaneous remission...it happens.
What studies have shown that?
Good God. What is wrong with people on this thread ?? They are almost wishing for things to happen to Rush. I hope Rush doesn’t see this or the admin pulls it. He just had progression on a drug which is very normal during cancer treatment.
Just read this....awful sad....hopeful whatever time the Lord grants him he will have joy.
I will have to write to Rush and ask him to stay off FR. Just reading this thread will cut his lifespan in half.
In this stage it is easy for cancer to spread rapidly to the brain, liver, bones and other organs. Once it starts it happens quickly...in matter of days.
It was sad to hear Rush give his update today.
Good. I’m glad Rush will be right with God in the end.
