Renewable energy is cripplingly expensive, hopelessly unreliable, massacres wildlife, destroys landscapes, destabilises the grid, harms indigenous peoples, and causes climate change. But apart from that its great, says a meticulous review published in the scientific journal Energies by a team of Irish and U.S.-based researchers.
Actually, the part about renewable energy being great is a joke but the rest is true. The scholarly review Energy and Climate Policy An Evaluation of Climate Change Expenditure 2011-2018 is probably the most thorough meta-analysis published on the so-called clean energy sector. Its conclusion, though neutrally expressed, could scarcely be more damning:

“How DARE you!” You mean ol’ Dream Stealer! :)
I had a conversation with T.Boone Pickens decades ago. He admitted that his wind farms were a hair-brained scheme because those huge rotors decimate bird populations.

This is known for years! I have attended a solar cell conference around 1995. All the world experts on solar cells admitted of the book exactly that - solar cells are pretty damaging to environment and provide negative of minuscule net energy.
Funny fact - Solar cells energy is also most deadly. Quite a lot of people fell and killed themselves installing and servicing solar cells. Comparing to the amount of energy delivered, solar cell energy is really bloody, paid for by many lives.
I have run and re-run the numbers for 35 years. It has always been a con job and a fools errand. But once this type of stupidity takes hold, there is nothing you can do to open the eyes of the cool aid drinkers.
Mark Twain: “No amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot(s).” I added the (s).

Solar cells are net sink of energy!

As with most democRAT creepozoid ideas, ‘solar’ can only ‘succeed’ with other people’s money. In Woodland, Kalifornia, there were 2 local businesses that thrived, especially when there were 2 (Federal & State) subsidies. Both companies touted the incredible ‘tax breaks’ (other people’s money) available. Once those tax breaks ceased, the businesses folded. The greatest example I can find of stored solar power is... Coal! The Sun provided that energy that ended up in the ground, waiting for us to use.
Energy Return on Energy Invested - the liberal stuff doesn’t add up...
Two years ago, I drove through White County, Indiana. The whole county is full of windmills, hundreds of windmills. I sure hope migrating birds steer clear of that area.
They'll try to fly across it, but in vane.
