I've Had It With These 'Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden.' You Can't Be Pro-Life and Pro-Biden

Pro-Life Evangelicals for Biden logo

Let’s get one thing straight. Abortion is the intentional taking of a human life. Whether by scalpel or chemical abortifacient, abortion ends the life of a human being—a child with his own fingerprints, heartbeat, brain waves, and DNA. A child who can feel pain beginning at 12 weeks after conception.

Let’s get another thing straight: You can’t be pro-life and pro-Joe Biden.

Some so-called evangelicals think they can have it both ways. In an op-ed at the Christian Post, Ron Sider and Richard Mouw defend a statement urging pro-life evangelicals to vote for Joe Biden.

“Climate change already kills untold thousands and will soon kill tens of millions unless we change,” the pair writes. “The overwhelming scientific consensus is that unless we quickly reduce the amount of greenhouse gases causing global warming that we send into the atmosphere, many millions will die. The poor will suffer the most. But Donald Trump denies the near scientific consensus on climate change and has made numerous policy decisions that make things much worse. Climate change is a pro-life issue.”

“As pro-life evangelicals, we disagree with Vice President Biden and the Democratic platform on the issue of abortion,” the statement declares, “But we believe that a biblically shaped commitment to the sanctity of human life compels us to a consistent ethic of life that affirms the sanctity of human life from beginning to end.”

What does the statement’s “consistent ethic of life” look like?

Many things that good political decisions could change destroy persons created in the image of God and violate the sanctity of human life. Poverty kills millions every year. So does lack of healthcare and smoking. Racism kills.

Biden would reverse all of the pro-life policies put in place by Trump, and on top of that has openly pledged to repeal the Hyde Amendment if elected. Couldn’t agree more - there is NOTHING pro-life about voting for Biden.

They are a front group, not a faction.

HONEST and TRUE Believers/Evangelicals will NOT vote for Biden.

EVERY Election Liberals/Democrats claim their views align with scripture.

It is a LIE. REAL Christians will vote overwhelmingly for Trump who has been more PRO-LIFE than any President EVER.

They are not pro-life. They are socially liberal and they put that above all. They say they are pro-life because saying out loud ‘I never meant it’ won’t go over well with the people in the pews but that’s what lobbying for Biden actually says in action, not words. Now, if they are compromising on the sanctity of life you need to ask what other moral issues they don’t actually believe in.

Democrat Catholics in our government are numerous. Folks, they are like everyone else, they put their pants on, one leg at a time.

A local Pro-Life group here is circulating this flyer:

“Can a Christian vote for Joe Biden with a clear conscience?”

“Yes. It’s possible! Here’s how!”

“If you could vote for Pharoah after he murdered babies in Egypt.....then you can vote for Joe Biden.”

“If you could vote for Manasseh after he murdered babies in Jerusalem....then you can vote for Joe Biden.”

“If you could vote for Herod after he murdered babies in Bethlehem......then you can vote for Joe Biden.”

“But if you would not vote for Pharoah, Manasseh or Herod, then you can NOT vote for Joe Biden.”

Want to see them squirm? Ask the Pro-Choice people believe in the choice of suicide. It’s a choice.

They will reply that the person is not of right mind. One could say the same of a mother choosing abortion.

Ron Sider is the very liberal author of “Rich Christians in an Age of Hunger”. One good rebuttal of his thesis is titled “Productive Christians in an Age of Guilt- Manipulators”.

Sider loves the State.

"...pro-life evangelicals to vote for Joe Biden..."

They only think they are born-again. Maybe they said "the prayer" and have read parts of the Bible - but they are deceived.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
Matthew 7:21

Every presidential cycle we see they people get heavy publicity about how they changed from Republican to democrat because Bush went to war.

Bull Sh*t liars all of them.

Hebrews 10:25ff — Introduces the idea of *WILLFUL SIN* for which there is no forgiveness (but one can repent).
2 John 1:8-11 — Introduces the idea that one who wishes “Godspeed” to one who does evil deeds will PARTAKE in their sins.

I assume the “evangelical” who wrote the article believes scripture and acts according to its commands. However, when this “evangelical” meets the Lord in Rev 20, he may learn that he who sins willfully “hath TRODDEN under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an UNHOLY thing, and hath done DESPITE unto the Spirit of grace?” Serious stuff, wouldn’t you say?

If one is a Christian, voting can be very serious religious exercise.

In 2016 Trump got 81% of the Evangelical vote and won. Now Trump is getting 91% of the Evangelical vote (as per Democracy Institute survey of 1500 likely voters) and he will win again. So, the fact that the media can find some of that 9% and try to portray them as a majority is meaningless.
