President Trump’s cutting back on campaign commercials in some of the key Midwestern battlegrounds that helped him win the White House four years ago – and shifting resources to a bunch of crucial swing states further south.

The president’s re-election campaign has dropped roughly $2 million in ad reservations in Michigan and Wisconsin since last month, according to Advertising Analytics , Medium Buying, and Kantar Media’s Campaign Media Analysis Group , three leading ad tracking firms. Trump narrowly won the two states in 2016, breaking a quarter century long winning streak by Democrats.

Senate races are likely one of the drivers on that.

FYI, I compared current VBM returns to the predicted, modeled vote by TargetSmart: Actual VBM ballots returned, Dems lead Rs 51% to 30%. However, this “lead” is actually 51% to 38% when you “model” the voters as to whether they are likely Ds or Rs. This means that the early vote favors Trump, as it is older, whiter, and more conservative. Good news. We are in great shape in Iowa.

“I’m in North Carolina and I hardly hear or see any Trump ads. Meantime, Biden is wall-to-wall, even on right-leaning talk shows and stations.”

From what I understand the Republican dollars are not keeping up with the Dem ones.

I asked bc I know this is a special election between McSally and Kelly and wondered if this seat ended sooner than the other senators (being SPECIAL).

So why would Lindsey lose his seat after 11/4? Isn’t he also good until January????? Can’t the SCOTUS vote carry on after 11/4? I am so confused.

Just checked the polls, Senator Ernst (Iowa) is trailing in most of the polls.

Trumpster is doing Rush Limbaugh’s show tomorrow. 40 or 50 million voters getting DJT for free. Game on.

Correct, and they will probably poll and look at early vote numbers in each state and spend accordingly. Also, who knows if Super PACs will magically pop up in the states that Trump is scaling back!

Is it not typical to move money around like this at this point? Biden has his unlimited untraceable BLM money rolling in the back door he doesn’t have to worry about it.

Those state are critical and close.

.......................................

Only if you believe bogus polls. Remember the 2016 polls? This is a repeat. It didn’t work last time, it won’t work this time.

OK, nervous Nellies. Ask yourselves: What do we know about POTUS...?

A: He demands value for money.

He’s pulled the ad buys because: 1) There aren’t enough undecideds to try to sway. 2) His internals are awesome.

Might even be both.

Now chill. He’s got this. We just need to concentrate on getting our butts to the polls on Election Day.

Having not had time to read thru all the preceding posts of this thread I can say that Biden is flooding the TV channels in NE Florida with ads. Like all of them they are pretty much lies about what he (Biden) has accomplished throughout his career, and some pretty vicious anti-Trump lies as well. The Trump campaign has been pretty much missing here and it’s high time the Trump campaign started fighting back against Biden’s lies.

I still don’t think that Biden has a snowballs chance or winning FL, but the Trump folks cannot take that for granted.

I spent 13 weeks in Iowa recently. Senator Joni Ernst’s opponent was running ads on TV and radio every 15 minutes, everyday.

Too many ads can also become obnoxious and royally tick people off.

Trump should carry OH and IA. NC will be close but I feel Trump will carry it, although narrowly. Thus moving some TV $ to NC. GA and AZ are becoming swing states and cannot be counted as a “sure thing”. Thus TV $ going there. FL will also be close so the Trump campaign is right to shore things up there with some extra TV $. I agree with the Trump campaign that TV advertising is probably not the best spend. Many do not watch TV as they did in the past, most stream, and sports ratings are dropping like a rock. I don’t watch any TV personally so those ads don’t even reach me.

Is Paul Steinhauser in the Chris Wallace part of Fox or the Tucker part of FOX? FoxNews needs transparency since liberal lie... no matter who employs them. Maybe on-air they could put a red bar under a Republican's name, a blue under a dems, and a pink under a 'never Trumper'... Same with their 'guests'. The liberal 'let's fool the yokels' thing is offensive and tiresome. It leads to that crap liberals did for years where they would pretend to expressed 'concern' for Republicans (that was mean-spirited bashing)...

Let's keep it clean Fox...

Everyone knows who Trump is. He wasn’t big on ads in 2016. Biden is everywhere.... but a few months ago so was Bloomberg. And how’s that working out for him? Ads are annoying. People hate them and hate being bombarded. They turn most people off. It’s why Trump does rallies and tweet storms instead. It’s more effective these days.
