BETHESDA, Md. — President Donald Trump declared, “I get it,” in a message to the nation Sunday evening before briefly leaving the hospital to salute cheering supporters from his motorcade, a surprising move that raised new questions about the president’s understanding of the coronavirus that has killed more than 209,000 Americans.
“It’s been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID,” Trump said, standing in his hospital room in a video posted on social media. “I learned it by really going to school.” He added, “I get it, and I understand it.”
Before the video was posted, the infected president cruised by supporters in his bulletproof SUV, windows rolled up, driven by Secret Service agents in protective gear who were potentially exposed to the disease that has swept through the White House in recent days.
“This is insanity,” tweeted Dr. James P. Phillips, an attending physician at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where Trump has been hospitalized since Friday evening. “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary presidential ‘drive-by’ just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die,” the doctor wrote. “For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater.”

Well gee, Dr. Phillips, that's such a great point! The Secret Service guarding the President wake up every day prepared to take a bullet for him. Worrying about them possibly catching Covid is definitely insanity.

I would bet that the bitchy news person probably thought the police were getting ready to pepper spray and tear gas the noisy (yes), out of control (not), rioting(not), protesters(not) supporters and wanted to get closer to the action to get pictures. I really believe some of the press were expecting that.

The President is going to explain that we are all individuals and that there are plenty of medicines available to get you through this.
And a reminder....Fauci says 50% success for a vaccine is good enough. The prediction is that only 30% of the population will take the vaccine. And that means that 15% of the population will be "protected". And they still don't know for how long. I believe herd immunity to date has better odds.

One question.....
IF one is around someone who ‘they’ claim has beerflu - say in the case of NFL - those around him are ‘supposed’ to be quarantined for 14 days.
If that the case, how can they cancel a FB game this week and say the team can play NEXT week? Do FB players have a shorter quarantine period?
Also, if the team QB gets ‘it’ (Patriots) they immediately announced the postponement of Sunday game BUT would likely play Mon or Tues?????

I want to make myself clear here: The above was rhetorical. Granted, Boris Johnson suddenly turned into Lockdown Louie and Mask Mania Marty after his go-round with CV-19. But I don't really think Pres. Trump would break his word to the American people.
Pull his clearance and assign him to performing armed forces entrance exams.
