Fox News Cuts Off Dr. Oz After He Admits The Flu Shot Increases Chances of Getting COVID-19

Fox News has been cutting off recent guests as they try to comment on riots and Covid-19. During an interview earlier in the week with Newt Gingrich, Fox News host, Harris Faulkner cuts off her guest and tells him they cannot speak of Democratic Supporter and Hungary native, George Soros.

Yet again, the Fox News host is seen below cutting off Dr. Oz as he tries to warn people of the connections between the flu shot and COVID-19.

I used to like Harris but I am disliking those who work there more and more.

It's not Harris, it's the Fox people telling her through her earpiece to cut away.

It’s worked appallingly well for them for more than half a century!

Oh great, we just got our flu shots last week....

I had to go to the doctor a couple of weeks ago, and my doctor did recommend my getting a flu shot, which I did. I hope it was not a mistake (I get one every year).

Concur. Exactly.

The veteran site article summarizes a Elsevier paper, which says if you take the flu vaccine, it might indirectly suppress your reaction to coronavirus, because when you fight off the real flu, it upregulates your nonspecific ( intrinsic and innate ) immune responses.

Children have good innate and intrinsic immune systems and rarely get covid19, which shows a good innate and intrinsic immune system is sufficient to fight it off. Old people have good adapative immunity, which protects you against pathogens you have been attacked by before, and much weaker intrinsic and innate immunity. Since sars-cov2 is novel, you havent had it before. Old people are at risk.

To have an effective vaccine, ideally you want to: 1 get it to the same tissue, 2 have inflammation at the site to get a good immune reaction to a vaccine. Thats why they use the forked needles to make a raw wound on the skin for the smallpox vaccine.

There may be a few vaccines that use weak live virus vectors such as adenovirus, with which using an immunosuppressant would make sense.

What immunosuppressant is used, exactly? What’s the name of the component? Where is the ingredient list on a specific vaccine that lists an immunosuppressant?

I’ve never heard of any immunosuppressant being used in any vaccine. That would be contradictory. The entire purpose of the vaccine is to provoke an immune response. How exactly would our immune system “render the vaccine useless”? What part of the immune system specifically is deactivated by these ingredients?

Do you have any specific information for how any of this is supposed to work?

It wasn’t. There is no information I’ve seen anywhere outside of conspiracy theorist circles and anti-vaxxers showing any reason why getting the flu shot would be a bad choice.

Influenza kills around 37,000 people each year. If more people got their flu shots, that number would be reduced. Not eliminated; reduced.

Absolute nonsense. Vaccines work by provoking an immune system response. If you suppress the immune system, then the vaccine can’t do its job.

Do you have any evidence whatsoever to back up this absolutely absurd claim?

Good response as there is no reason, at all, to put an immune suppressant into a vaccine, and I've never heard of such an adjuvant being placed into a vaccine. The purpose of a vaccine is to elicit an immune response to an antigen. An immune system suppressant would quell an immune system response.

Dear FRiends on this fine forum.

Please consider getting the flu shot. Covid is deadly when there are comorbidities, and influenza simultaneous with Covid would be the Kevorkian Combo. (And a truly icky way to go.)

We need you healthy, and posting, and voting.

Again in my mind this is counter intuitive as I would have thought that the stronger the body’s immune response, the better the vaccine’s efficacy. Go figure.

Your intuition is correct. There is no immunosuppressant in any vaccine. Putting one in would negate the entire purpose of a vaccine, which is to elicit an immune system response.

No one has produced a shred of evidence supporting this wild claim. And I’m about 99.99999999% certain it’s because no such evidence exists because it would make zero sense. There are cases where suppressing the immune system makes sense to do, but only in cases where the immune system is doing more harm than good. Vaccination is not such a case.

Mercola is a major antivaxer huckster. He’s right about some things (Vitamin D, for example), but he’s totally looney-toony about vaccines.

Please do get it. There’s nothing to this claim that I can find anywhere. Unless and until somebody supplies some supporting evidence, listen to your doctor (who will - without a doubt - tell you that you should get a flu shot).

An average of 37,000 people a year die from flu in the US. Do everything you can to not be one of them.

People in Africa tend to take hydroxychloriquine as a malaria preventive. It’s available OTC.

Dr. Oz is a quack, so I’m not sure about the use of the word, “admits.” Usually, that word means saying something against your own interests.
