They have. Note that the usual suspects on the left aren't crowing about "Glorious Soviet Biden victory" but they are all screeching like Harpies about Trump's "tone" and wanting to cancel the remaining debates.

You are correct. Last night, at first I was worried because Wallace was protecting Biden (you might recall your post to me). But, the more it went on, I understood the Trump strategy (even with Wallace craping on Trump) and I think he got Biden to deflate some of his base, not answer key questions and made Biden out to be a nasty (e.g. calling Trump a clown and a racist).

I don’t think anyone “won”, but I guess I’d give the win on a referee assist to Biden simply because the bar was set so low for him (showing up and remaining on his feet constituted a “win” for him).

We will see in a few days if Trump gets a spike in the polls, I hope he does. Meanwhile let's refrain from citing the analysis of Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O'Donnell to spare our digestion or Kayleigh McEnany to bolster our hopes.

Wallace was a disgrace, totally ruined the debate.
I agree. He knew he would be under attack from both of the other participants and came out too aggressive.
The most frustrating part was that he was interrupting with points that weren’t that good and missing opportunities to really land some hard blows.
The constant interruptions put Wallace into a mode where he got used to automatically cutting Trump off. So when Trump started to answer a question or make a point, Wallace would cut him off and steer him in another direction.
There was one occasion where Wallace asked a question, Trump starts to answer it and Wallace kept interrupting him because he wasn’t answering in a way Wallace wanted. But when he asked Biden about packing the court, all Biden had to say was “I don’t want to answer that” and it was good enough for Wallace.
With mike shut offs after the time expires.

I haven't heard hide nor hair out of any Biden spokesperson crowing about the debate.
That means the Biden team is burying it: not what you do when you've won.
And even the New York Slimes is now "fact-checking" BIDEN on the debate.
