President Donald Trump is expected to put forth a nominee to fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg's seat in the coming days, multiple sources close to the president and with direct knowledge of the situation told ABC News.
The sources describes the list of potential nominees as very short and including at least one woman. U.S. Circuit Judge Amy Coney Barrett is seen as a leading contender, two sources tell ABC News.

Tucker, on Fox, just read a note where Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated there will be a nominee vote on the Senate floor!

It's not up to the Dems to decide. Mitch has already said he'd go right ahead with confirmation if a SCOTUS seat became vacant before the election.

McConnell said he will proceed with a vote in the Senate.
So the future of the GOP will ride on their vote from Trumps
nominee.

The GOP Senate will not cooperate.

McConnell held off Merrick Garland and got rid of the filibuster just to protect the supreme court. This is his number one issue. He will do everything he can to get it done. It might not work, but he will try.

I hope Lindsey Graham can run a confirmation hearing better than Charles Grassley.
On another thread a Freeper noted that it would be great just to leave the SC @ 5 conservative and 3 liberal. It would come in handy for any election shenanigans by the dems where the SC is needed to settle any “legal challenges”.

This is going to make them clawing at the doors when Kavanaugh was conformed look like a mild disappointment.
It will increase turnout for Trump who already has a huge enthusiasm gap against Biden. Further the vote of Roberts becomes less relevant cause RBG can’t vote from the dead.
