Scientific American on Tuesday endorsed Joe Biden, the first presidential endorsement in the magazine’s 175-year history. Its editors said they felt “compelled” to do so because President Trump’s well-documented rejection of science, from climate change to the coronavirus, has cost tens of thousands of American lives.

Yep. Political “science”, indeed.

I feel compelled to disregard their BS endorsement “criteria”.

This Yahoo cuck uses quotes for compelled, so the rest of the sentence is biased trash from his own feeble mind.

SciAm veered off into the weeds of leftist groupthink decades ago. I haven’t read it in 25 years.

I had some material published in SciAm in the early '90s before it went down the drain. More recently, Sky & Telescope endorsed Black Lives Matter. It recently got rescued from oblivion by being acquired by the American Astronomical Society. All of physics seems to be going nuts.

I can remember when Scientific American was actually about science.

There are several, well publicized instances where data for both Climate Change and Covid-19 have been manipulated, altered, or lost. Certain forms of inquiry, and outright skepticism of the ideas behind Climate Change and Covid have been deemed forbidden by the likes of people at Scientific American.

Rejection of science? Seems like that is exactly what SA is doing.

Scientific American is not being very scientific. I would say money is involved. Global warming is THEORY which is:

“ an idea or set of ideas that is intended to explain facts or events. : an idea that is suggested or presented as possibly true but that is NOT KNOWN OR PROVEN TO BE TRUE.”

A theory has to be proven to be scientific law.
Global warming is just a set of ideas used to advance an agenda.
IT IS NOT PROVEN FACT.

A scientist at OSU had a set of data suggesting global warming is NOT substantiated by the data he collected.
He was fired and silenced.

This UNPROVEN THEORY is also being used to control everyone!
The data that global warmers have used doctored data! This has been silenced also.
The demon-rats pushing this could not even explain where carbon dioxide comes from when questioned l!
LOL!

From a wiki, if that's legal: In 1986, it was sold to the Holtzbrinck group of Germany, which has owned it since. In the fall of 2008, Scientific American was put under the control of Nature Publishing Group, a division of Holtzbrinck.

It has been decades since SA has been about real science, just like it has been decades since National Geographic has been about exploration and not politics.

I remember Sci American as a kid. My Uncle Art turned me on to the regular Martin Gardner column.

When I was older, I bought and read Sci American regularly. I enjoyed most the physics, astronomy (later, cosmology) and some of the chemistry stuff.

The publication changed. You and I quit at about the same time, 25 years ago. I don;t miss it personally, but I think I miss having a reliable publication around that I am willing to share with younger generations.

A shame to see what liberalism has done to this country.
Imagine if they were as successful as they want to be.

Scientific American endorses Lysenko...
