WASHINGTON (AP) — Bahrain has become the latest Arab nation to agree to normalize ties with Israel as part of a broader diplomatic push by President Donald Trump and his administration to fully integrate the Jewish state into the Middle East.
Trump announced the agreement on Friday, following a three-way phone call he had with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The three leaders also issued a brief six-paragraph joint statement, attesting to the deal.
The announcement on the 19th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks came less than a week before Trump hosts a White House ceremony to mark the establishment of full relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. Bahrain’s foreign minister will attend the event.

The ‘normalization’ of relations with Israel by Arab nations is an amazing feat. I am wondering what the incentive was that has finally changed their minds.
This is sure gonna hurt Trump’s Nobel chances...

The Nobel Peace Prize winner will be announced Friday, October 9, 2020, so this is well before the November 3 election. Hee hee.
Iran(Shia)/Russia/China vs. KSA(Sunni)/UAE+? vs. Turkey/Erodgan/new Ottoman Caliphate.
Any alliance with any Muslim nation is temporary until they re-gain the advantage. Then the jihad is back on. Same as WWII allies with the USSR.
I would love to read the back story on these historic peace deals. Did this have something to do with the efforts of Jared Kushner? He has received no small amount of grief on this forum.

Trump simply IGNORED the whining of the PLO, HAMAS and the rest of the Palestinian politicians who never wanted to negotiate peace anyway. Why? Because of ONE important issue they would rather die for rather than consent to -— RECOGNITION OF ISRAEL AS A SOVEREIGN NATION.
Trump simply said, it’s a waste of time to involve the Palestinians in any peace talks, so he did two things:
1) Withdrew American aid money from the PLO
2) Simply by-passed the Palestinians altogether.
The Gulf states fear the Iranian mullahs and recognize Trump’s policies of defunding and defanging Iran. Israel also sees Iran and its pawns as an evil extinction level threat. The ancient adage asserts itself here. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Promises made promises kept!
This is what is possible when they go around Saudi Arabia. Which comes directly from energy independence.
At this point Iran may blink. Perhaps before the election. If the dominoes continue to tumble like this they’ll be badly outflanked.
As an aside, I wonder if the world map at the UN will now feature the state of Israel, which some previous versions seem to omit.
They are threatened by Iran. They want to chanfe the game before a potential Biden oresidency puts Iran back on track to head the new Califate.
Recognition of right to exist is a major step. I think its more than what you describe. Those conditions you describe have existed a lot in recent decades. Its something else I think. Something about Trumps approach.
Amazing how moving our embassy to Jerusalem totally destroyed any credibility we had in the Middle East!
