Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leads President Trump by nearly 6 points among active-duty troops, according to a new Military Times poll released on Monday, suggesting that the president’s support may be eroding among a group he sees as a part of his political base.
The poll, conducted in partnership with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University with participants chosen from Military Times subscribers, showed Biden garnering 43 percent support among active-duty service members to Trump’s 37 percent.
By comparison, a similar poll from October 2016 showed Trump leading then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by roughly 20 points among military voters.

Sightline Media used to be part of Gannett Government Media, who had swallowed up the former Army Times Publishing Company in 1997 and subverted it utterly. They were spun off to Tegna in 2015, who sold it to LA-based private equity firm Regent who renamed it Sightline.
The owner of Regent, one Michael Reinstein, contributed to Marco Rubio’s 2016 presidential campaign. Haven’t found any other info on who he donates to.

The service members are lying to pollsters.
There’s no doubt that Biden holds at least a 6 point lead among senior military officers.
Those polled were drawn from subscribers to The Military Times. From what I have heard, The Military Times has a well-established anti-Trump bias, and so one would assume their subscribers do also. It would be like taking a poll of CNN viewers. If Trump is only six points behind in that crowd, it’s all over for Biden.
Almost like they massively over-sampled Democrats to get this result ... again.
It’s all so tiresome.
The actual article from the Military Times shows the weakness in the polls. The average of the poll participants is 39 and mostly career officers. Reading between the lines, I suspect that many of the poll participants are unhappy because Trump has kept us out of new wars and armed conflicts.
They have been doing that for a while. See Russia, Russia, Russia for an example.

This same story but without Biden was around last year. Said 50% of “in uniform troops are anti-Trump.”
What next, “like that Secret Service woman*, troops say they will mull over commands of Trump and may decide not to fight in some situations”?
Maybe the same fiction writers composed this one.

The “Military Times” is lefty democrat in point of view. The “Stars and Stripes” it ain’t.
Well this may be a reflection of the military times subscription base not active military. They selected who they polled out of their subscription base. So if this publication has gotten more liberal it would stand to reason any polling from their subscriber base would reflect that
Not a subscriber or active military so I can’t say, but I find it hard to believe they are seeing a 27 point swing in military support away from Trump.
Anyone here an active subscriber? Have they become a woke echo chamber like most media lately?

My daughter spent four years in ROTC where she was the only Obama hater. I would not find this poll hard to believe.
