Shocking video captured the moment a man in a right-wing Patriot Prayer cap was shot dead in Portland after a day of violent clashes between President Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter protesters.
Videographer Justin Dunlap was filming live late Saturday, casually noting new artwork on buildings as most of the day’s violence appeared to have ended when he suddenly turned toward shouting.
Two gunshots then rang out, a cloud of smoke appearing to show the gunman standing just a few feet in front of his target.
As a group of about a half-dozen shouted and fled, one of the other men started walking away — collapsing on the ground after a few steps, a panicked driver skidding to a halt just feet in front of him.
Several people rushed to help, and officers in riot gear — who say they heard the shots while policing the demonstrations — were there within minutes.
An Associated Press freelance photographer who heard three gunshots saw police medics working on the body of the victim, who appeared to be a white man. The freelancer said the man was wearing a hat bearing the insignia of Patriot Prayer, a right-wing group whose members have frequently clashed with protesters in Portland in the past.
Police said the man was shot in the chest and was declared dead at the scene. He was not immediately identified.
It was not immediately clear if the shooting was linked to fights that broke out as a caravan of about 600 vehicles with pro-Trump supporters was confronted by counter-demonstrators in the city’s downtown.
Dunlap said that the victim had earlier maced people, and someone could be heard on his video shouting that the victim was a “motherf—er who has been pushing people and jumping people the entire time.”

When I see these “protesters” walking around with their smart phones I always wonder why the police do not seize their phones, that way the police could get lots of information on their contacts and plans.
Also, I would like to see the police go though the back packs that they all carry. Are these “peaceful protesters” carrying the weapons for the “nonpeaceful” protesters? And notice how they all aimlessly wander about. They are not really scared of the police. They are acting like it is a game of cat and mouse. You don’t see them actually running from the police.
People who pray don’t usually go around yelling “motherf*cker”.
I remember Kent State as well and things changed very quickly after that.
My pure conjecture is....DOJ/GOP/POTUS may NOT want to stop the mayhem? Media is forced to show the riots and looting and it can’t possibly be helping ByeDone.

I disagree. Both clouds of smoke appear coincident with the shots.
There are plenty of double action black powder firearms, and the sequence of the shots could easily be from a double action revolver.
The acoustics from microphones make it difficult to determine what kind of firearms was shot, unless there are some serious calibrations involved.
It cannot be determined if it was black powder or not, but black powder cannot be ruled out.
Blocking traffic by leftists has been going on for years. They stop traffic and then they beat up or shoot people. Did you see the shooting in Provo, Utah? A driver was stopped by a mob of kids at an intersection and one of them shot the driver. Then the driver took off and had to drive past another shooter who was standing in the middle of the road. Fortunately the second shooter missed. There are two videos which show the two shootings. You really have to see this if you haven’t. The group looked like kids.

it looked like a friend was walking with the victim and may have seen the shooter -friend i believe called victim by name and said are you all right then went to his aid he turned victim over immediately onto his back..
Could be. They have good images of the shooter. Only a matter of time until they catch up with him.
