US election 2020: Trump handed huge boost as Biden makes major mistake - Exclusive poll
UK Express ^ | 8/30/2020 | David Maddox

Posted on 08/30/2020 6:45:06 AM PDT by LS

According to the latest monthly Democracy Institute (DI)/ Sunday Express poll President Trump has 48 percent of the popular support over former Vice President Biden’s 45 percent.

In the key swing states the gap is even bigger with 49 percent for Trump to 42 percent for Biden giving the incumbent US President an almost unassailable seven point lead.

Since the DI poll in August - a crucial month which saw the Democrat and Republican conventions - the President has gained a point in the swing states while his opponent has lost a point.

Significantly, the latest poll shows that 21 percent were positively influenced to vote Trump after the Republican convention but a negligible eight percent were inspired to vote Biden after the Democrat convention.

Trump is set to win in Minnesota 48 to 45, Florida 47 to 44 and New Hampshire, where he just held a major rally, 47 to 43.

It also appears clear that US voters have already made up their minds with a mere 3 percent of Trump voters and 9 percent of Biden supporters suggesting they could have a change of heart on polling day on November 3.

Patrick Basham, the director of the Democracy Institute, said that the polls confirm that the Democrats completely misread the effect of the Black Lives Matter protests and the desire of Americans to restore law and order in the wake of riots and anarchic protests.

He said: “In any political campaign, there’s a moment that tells you which way the electoral wind is blowing. In this year’s American presidential campaign, that moment arrived on Wednesday.

"Joe Biden restated his support for peaceful protests but, crucially, condemned the violence that has come to dominate the months-long nationwide protest movement.

"When a candidate changes his tune three quarters of the way through a race, it is not because he knows he holds a winning hand. He does so because the electoral ground is shifting beneath his feet.

"The Biden campaign made this move for one simple reason. Its own internal polling numbers revealed what Democracy Institute/Sunday Express polls have shown for the past three months: the overwhelming majority of Americans, including Black voters, are opposed to the organised anarchy – looting, vandalism, mayhem, and murdering of innocent people – explicitly and implicitly cheered on by a considerable cabal of Democratic politicians, while an even large number simply turned a blind eye.”

According to the poll law and order is clearly the top political issue with 37 percent putting it as the most important followed by 27 percent for the economy.

According to the poll 74 percent favour of “all lives matter” over 26 percent “black lives matter an increase in the gap by two percent since August showing that US voters are tired of the protests.

Almost two thirds of them think that Biden has not been tough enough in his language condemning the violence.

Almost eight in ten voters disapprove of statues being pulled down and 26 percent of voters say the latest violence in Wisconsin makes them more likely to vote Trump compared to 10 percent Biden.

The decision by Joe Biden to make Kamala Harris, a mixed race woman senator, his running mate has had minimal impact with 11 percent more likely to support him and 12 percent less likely.

Two thirds of voters also think that the economy is bouncing back in the US after coronavirus and 59 percent think Trump is best to handle an economic recovery. However, President Trump supporters are still shy of admitting they back him with 72 percent not wanting to admit it to friends and family compared to 28 percent for Biden.National Popular Vote

They can’t be allowed to happen.

However, IF they do, the only thing Trump has to watch out for is not looking like a bully to a demented old pervert.

He needs the Reagan “There you go again” friendly dust off.

I still fully expect the dems to perform a Torricelli Switch between now and November.
All they have to say is, ‘Oh Biden is dropping out and here is our new team.’
It has worked successfully in the past, though it hasn’t been pulled at the presidential level.

Not surprising to me. I know too many people who have now-adult kids who are snowflakes.

One good friend taught his daughter to shoot, sent her to a “conservative’ Catholic school, now she is a total snowflake, was in a near panic over China Virus, won’t let guns in the house, blah, blah. Sickening.

Too many college “educated” brainwashed SJWs.

While President Trump winning is important, holding the Senate and taking back the house vital if this shit is going to stop. While it will put or keep some RINO’s back in office they be given a warning to elected officials everywhere to stop the madness.

I hear this and it just begs reality.

BALLOTS ARE ALREADY BEING PRINTED.

In such a case, any vote for “Biden/Harris” ticket is for THAT ticket. Harris might “become” the nominee, but the only way that vote would translate to her would be in a new ballot.

Point is, if they do this, it would cost them at least 5 m votes in pure confusion alone.

I don’t see black men wanting to support Kamala Harris. She’s the type of cray-cray ex-girlfriend or ex-wife that they ran away from as fast as possible.

The numbers were always about 42% Biden, 49% Trump. The pollsters are now just looking accurately so they don’t look like fools on election day. Trump was and is going to win in a landslide.

If we don’t prevent widespread election fraud now, and Biden wins, we’ll never get another chance.

I don’t see black men wanting to support Kamala Harris.

Also, don't forget, she's now married to a white guy. Some see that as being a 'race traitor'. Not only that, he's Jewish.

critical point you make.

yeah, a lot of the fairfield county connecticut mid to late 40’s housewife types that spend half their day on pinterest living in their 97% white picturesque towns, who act all open-minded and liberal—will ultimately value the safety of their 12 year old daughter.

hundreds of people knew that father/daughter that got murdered last week. people who are finding out that their old buddy from college (the father) or the kids who fawned over the beautiful daughter back in high-school, that they are now dead by a thug. You can bet that peoples fear levels will start going up.

But can the landslide overcome the Democrat scum mail-in fraud?

No election stats are unassailable. We don’t need to get over confident and complacent. The pressure needs to be kept up because we need to overcome the legitimate mail in voting assault that is coming.

Yes. I have never been a “fraud” guy.

First, the main locations for fraud are blue states Trump won’t win anyway. Second, the very fact that so many of these fraudulent ballots were caught in the primary already says something positive about the system. I know people on the BOE of a major midwestern city that have watched this for years and say there is “some,” but according to them, “Never enough to impact a vote.”

Third, we won the VBM in WI07 and one of the TX races. So I’m not sure Trump isn’t sandbagging the left on the whole VBM issue. He “may” have evidence we’ll win this.

I take umbrage to all these “don’t get complacent” statements.

I don’t know one single person on our side, in 2016 or now, who ever got complacent. We certainly don’t think a poll keeps us from voting if it’s bad. Why would a poll keep us from voting if it’s good?

The fact is, we need good news on our side because the Hoax News media is 93% negative. Good polls & good stories aren’t gonna overcome that.
