Armed rioters shut down streets in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Sunday night as the city fell into chaos after a police-involved shooting earlier in the evening.
A large group of rioters – including at least two armed rioters – blocked a police armored car from proceeding down a street. After a standoff, the police began throwing tear gas canisters from the top of the vehicle to disperse the crowd. Moments later, gunshots rang out after one of the protesters appeared to open fire.

Now if we get a Biden or Harris in there, the police will round up conservatives into the camps or shoot them for not holding still or refusing their vaccines or other orders.
Kamala Harris was a prosecutor and I’m sure she would have no problem with this sort of conduct as long as its against the right opponent.

Letting the suspect going back into the car was a good idea and a part of police protocol, right?
Maybe he needed to get his ID, the cops couldn’t do that either.

There is nothing the police did that would be considered contrary to protocol with what we presently know. Wait until more is understood and if it is shown that they did something unwarranted, THEN go on a tirade.

If the rioters aim their guns at the police the police need to mow them down as they do the old man at home watching TV when they break his door down at 2 AM and say his remote looked like a gun.

Sometimes one must fight the urge to attempt to translate gibberish, it grows worse daily, a few years back I would wonder just what such a post might have meant to the one who posted it but now I assume that he himself did not know what he meant. Maybe I flatter myself but I suspect that I grow wiser with age. I am losing the conviction that some people are wise in thought but simply have a problem in expressing their wise thoughts in an easily understood message.
The phrase I truly despise now is, “You know what I mean.” I am apt to respond with, “If you know what you mean why don’t you just say it?” Yes, I’m a grouch but at least I know it.

He was shot reaching into his car. From what I have read there was a warrant out on him. The police may have been attempting an arrest which he resisted (peacefully or not, I don’t know). For some reason the police did have guns out so I am inclined to think he made some threats (he was a violent felon). The police had no way of knowing what he was reaching for but it was reasonable to assume it was a weapon.
Until the ME report comes out it is not even accurate to say he was shot in the back. He very well could have been turning towards the officer. Everyone thinks video is going to tell the whole story. It doesn’t.
Are you wanted on an active warrant? Do you have a known history as a violent felon? So how likely is it that you will just randomly for no reason be told to stand still by the police? If you are just randomly ordered to do so you can be sure it is to protect the officer, yourself, and others. Even if you do not perceive any threat from your behavior a cop may do so.
Being told to stand still is not a violation of your civil rights or a failure of due process. What follows after may or may not be. Even so it would be better to shut your mouth, go along, call your lawyer, and get to live another day.
I think since they had a warrant on him they pretty much had already identified him. But let’s suppose he needed his I.D. In that case after stopping as told he could have requested being taken to his car so that the officer could get his ID for him. It is routine for police to ask if there are any weapons or drugs in the car so we will assume that was answered in the negative.
Oh and they couldn’t cuff him because he was not obeying the lawful order to stand still. Were they supposed to lasso him?
