Anti-police protests erupted Sunday night in Kenosha, Wisconsin, just hours after a police officer was filmed shooting a black man in the back as he tried to enter his car.
Crowds of protesters first gathered at the scene of the shooting — where 29-year-old Jacob Blake was struck several times in the back and seriously injured — before making their way to the police station, according to local reports.
Footage posted to social media shows protesters banging on the station house window, screaming “F–k the police.”
Police later deployed tear gas, TMJ4-TV reporter Lauren Linder tweeted.
In another clip posted to Twitter, protesters throw what appears to be molotov cocktails and bricks towards police standing near a patrol car.
One officer appears to get struck by a flying object, knocking him to the ground.
Elsewhere in the city, dump trucks and garbage trucks that were placed at intersections were lit on fire.
Blake was shot at about 5:10 p.m. local time after police responded to the location for a domestic incident.
The footage circulating on social media of the shooting shows two cops with weapons drawn trailing Blake as he walks to a gray van and opens the driver’s side door to get inside.
One of the officers then grabs him by the back of his tank top and appears to shoot him at close range. A fusillade can be heard, followed by a car horn, and bystanders screaming.
A family member told Milwaukee’s WTMJ-TV that Blake’s children were in the vehicle when cops shot their dad.

If you look at ‘events’...this is an odd story.
Two women arguing (no one says what over).
Dude comes upon the situation to lessen tension. Don’t know what he was saying or trying to achieve.
Cops are called because the confrontation of the women appears violent (remember, this is Kenosha).
Cops for some reason gravitate toward the guy more than the women.
Dude has a warrant out (he’s had encounters before).
Dude realizes the focus and starts to retreat to his vehicle and either leave or retrieve a weapon (depending on what you think in the video). Cops work to prevent that. Dude refuses to cooperate with police orders. Cops draw weapons, and the rest is history.

Disgusting how Fox News has repeatedly described this as “police follow him to his car and shoot him” - making it sound like they ambushed some poor innocent guy and completely leaving out the fact that they had guns aimed at him and he was ignoring them.

This looks very bad. Why did he need to be shot at all, let alone 8 times. I may get flamed for this, but I think that cop needs to be charged with attempted murder.
And here’s the thing - BLM is half right. Cops are shooting too many people. Where BLM is wrong is that it is not just blacks who are the targets. The cops are killing too many people due to their newfound safety culture, which can be summarized as follows- “If you feel threatened, empty your gun”. That may be safer for the cops, but it sucks for everyone else.

The rioting that has been going on for nearly three months has cops on edge and they are more likely to use force. The guy ignored their commands and kept going to go inside his vehicle in spite of being tased several times. For all they know he could have been going to get a firearm and shoot at them. That is the dilemma and cops are trained to do this. Tasing does not always work but he could have also been on PCP. Since he is in the hospital we will find out if he was on something or not.
If he was high, he must die.

Once you CHOOSE to Resist Arrest it’s all on you. Perps are playing games and Police are (rightfully) deadly serious.
Resisting arrest and then going into a vehicle while the police are surrounding you with weapons drawn sounds almost like a “suicide by cop” scenario.
Look at all the mutants whose deaths/shootings have attracted all this media attention. The one thing they all had in common is that they were RESISTING ARREST. Shut up and get in the police car, you morons.
