Israel and the United Arab Emirates reached a historic peace deal on Thursday that will lead to a full normalization of diplomatic relations between the two Middle Eastern nations in an agreement that U.S. President Donald Trump helped broker.
Under the agreement, Israel has agreed to suspend applying sovereignty to areas of the West Bank that it has been discussing annexing, senior White House officials told Reuters.
The peace deal was the product of lengthy discussions between Israel, the UAE and the United States that accelerated recently, White House officials said.
The agreement was sealed in a phone call on Thursday between Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, crown prince of Abu Dhabi.
HUGE breakthrough today! Historic Peace Agreement between our two GREAT friends, Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Trump wrote on Twitter.
The officials described the agreement, to be known as the Abraham Accords, as the first of its kind since Israel and Jordan signed a peace treaty in 1994. It also gives Trump a foreign policy success as he seeks re-election on Nov. 3.

Glad to hear it. May more Middle Eastern countries do the same.

It also gives Trump a foreign policy success as he seeks re-election on Nov. 3. Which is why it will never be mentioned in the media again.

It must have been physically painful for the staff at Reuters to publish this. Since I never watch television news I’ll miss all the devastated and distraught faces as it’s reported to those who still do.

Benefit? The UAE is rich, technologically advanced, and a center of trade and investment for an area stretching from India to North Africa and northwards to Russia. Strategically, assuming there’s a military component to the agreement, it could put Israeli assets a few nautical miles from Iran’s left flank and oil fields.

Trump has been working on ending the hostile Middle East vs Israel stalemate since Day 1 of his office. Jared Kushner is probably the unmentioned Trump advisor whose negotiating skills led to this break through.
The little SpecOps firework show in Beirut that knocked out the Iranian-Hezbollah rocket threat to Israel may have helped as a confidence builder

no doubt... this is a HUGE accomplishment for Israel and Trump and the lamestream media will do its best to hide it....
This reinforces Trump’s image as getting things done and not being ‘ridiculed’ abroad as a leader...

Whats the benefit to Israel?
They normalize relations with a Mideast neighbor. That's preferable to hostile relations with a neighboring nation. And they didn't have to give up an inch of territory.

Dems deeply sadden. 😋 The UAE and Israel normalizing relations, great job...

[ United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed any initiative that can promote
peace and security in the Middle East region, a U.N. spokesman said. ]
Not surprised the United Nations loves "
peace and security". Exactly what the Bible has predicted the world will say.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 English Standard Version (ESV) - The Day of the Lord
1 Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you.
2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.
3 While people are saying,
There is >>>>peace and security<<<<, then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.
4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief.
