Or what?
According to what law?
“No shirt, no shoes no service.”
is not a law either.
Um, what the hell are you talking about? What argument are you talking about and who’s lies have I fallen for, particularly? Maybe you’re referring to someone else? Let me be clear ok wearing masks isn’t doing a dad blamed thing to stop this virus. Do I make myself clear?
:-)
LOL! My husband was just telling me about hearing his parents talk about doing the ‘stroll’. Seems like an evolution of the ‘Virginia Reel’.

Not a line dance, but I’m a fan of the Carolina Shag:

I think that was my point. I didn’t think either of the adults were acting appropriately. I would never lay a hand on another person’s kid.
And if I was going to say anything it would be a request - not an order or shaming. Kids are like anyone else-they don’t like dictators and Karen’s and Chads.
And my kids couldn’t get by with anything, because as teachers, we had spies everywhere. We were lucky and had great kids who responded well to their upbringing, but they also knew they were in double trouble if they misbehaved.
Some parents have a lot more challenges than we did. And it’s a different world now. Crazy people telling toddlers they hope the die. That’s just hateful.
That's up to the store. The issue was with another customer. Wearing a shirt or shoes is not a medical situation, a mask is.
They can't tell you to wear a mask...just tell them you can't, nothing more. (HIPAA)
I have begun wearing a body camera in public to document occurrences just such as this.

Likewise....
Yesterday I had my first ‘challenge’ about entering a business - Walmart - a Security Guard (A security guard in my ‘little town and county’s ONLY Walmart), he ‘greeted’ me outside, paused and said ‘Sir, do you need a mask’ I was really taken aback by his friendly demeanor and told him ‘No thanks, I do have a respiratory problem and would rather not’, He said ‘No problem, have a nice day, Thank You for your service’.
Turns out I was apparently the ONLY person in the store sans mask and I got a few looks but was ready with a response such as ‘The ONLY person in this establishment whose business it is already knows I am not masked’ and ‘You know, if you keep your distance from me as I am from you, we are both better off’ BUT no one said anything.
Then again with my built in frown and the fact that EVERYBODY had grown up learning that ALL Vietnam Vets are crazy might be a factor.
And I might not....Go ahead punk, take my temp.
If you're asymptomatic, you can't spread the virus.
That's a first in this small town
If a retailer requests you to wear a mask, do it, or go elsewhere. It doesnt get much simpler.
*************************************************************************************
But that’s not what Walmart is doing. They specifically told my hubby that he didn’t have to wear a mask if he didn’t want to, when he inquired. He would have gone elsewhere if they had said “you have to”.
And we had copies of Walmart directives to their Employees posted on this website telling their employees not to try to make people wear masks.
And that “Karen” didn’t know whether those teens had a medical reason for NOT wearing a mask, and had no right to do what she did. If Walmart wants to go ahead and let people in with out masks-that’s up to them-not some busybody Karen.
I do agree that the MOM trying to press charges is over the top.
May your chains rest lightly upon you ...
I suffer from sudden onset temporary illiteracy.
Thank you for your service then....and especially now.
Not every Charlie is in SE Asia.
I clearly stated grandma was overreacting in her support of store policy.
The boys said that the walmart greeter asked them to wear a mask and they ‘politely declined’. Here’s the quote;
“Mrs. Dickenson’s son said he and his friends were asked to wear masks when they first walked into the store,”
Clearly the policy was in place - which is why they were asked to wear a mask. Clearly the employees supported the policy. In fact, here is that exact policy in black and white:
“Walmart to require customers to wear face masks at all its stores Wednesday, July 15, 2020 Walmart will require customers to wear face coverings at all of its namesake and Sam’s Club stores, making it the largest retailer to introduce such a policy...The retailer also said it will create the role of health ambassador at its Walmart stores and will station them near the entrance to remind customers without masks of its new requirements.” ABC7 news, July 15.
Assault is wrong. Whether it’s passive-aggressive assault by entitled little snits towards store employees. Or a grandma tapping the shoulder of a big old football player who ran home to mommy to figure out how to capitalize on the son’s PA-ness at the expense of an obviously emotionally fragile granny who might have lost someone to CCP virus. Calling the police to further shame granny was deplorable, but just lends to the argument that parents of misbehaving kids always try to transfer the blame.
What else is wrong is you thinking you know what I think. Thought police much?
What rule did the teenager not obey?
No problem her telling the kid?
Really
No thats exactly where it starts
