Herman Cain, the former Republican presidential candidate and affable business magnate, died Thursday after being hospitalized for coronavirus, according to reports.
Cain, 74, first went to an Atlanta hospital for treatment on July 1, his staff had said.
His death was announced on Herman Cain's website and Facebook page.
"Herman Cain – our boss, our friend, like a father to so many of us – has passed away," the statement on his website said, noting there were "hopeful indicators" in recent days that he'd recover but adding: "And yet we also felt real concern about the fact that he never quite seemed to get to the point where the doctors could advance him to the recovery phase."

Mr. Cain was a great man, and his passing is a huge loss. Can you and the other hydroxychloroquine idiots please have some couth and stop beating your goddamned drums for a minute to mourn the man’s passing? Herman Cain was a minority minority who’s black life really did matter. He was a true success among black peers who were unequal and did not measure up.
Rather than support him he was politically killed by those who could not measure up and who were decidedly unequal. There has been a great waste of time, energy and money on trifling tributes to Herman’s inferior who happened to march across a bridge.

Very sorry to hear that. He was a late-stage cancer survivor and probably not in great health (he wasn’t THAT old, because I’m close to the same age!) and he had sort of disappeared from view in recent years.

I always knew there were some people within our Conservative ranks that had a dip or two once in a while into a conspiracy. Nothing really harmful, great for conversation and thought.
But now, it has become absurd and in some cases dangerous.
So, the old “You’re a fear monger” or “Live in Fear if you want” isn’t working any longer against people calling out the foolishness, now you resort to Antifa or Leftist.

We have been studying HCQ here at FR since March and I have been taking it since before you were born.
I know something about it from personal experience.
You will also note that what I said was, I have and will spend more time on this earth than you will. I stand by that.
