In the four months since Joe Biden effectively won the Democratic presidential nomination, he has focused on consolidating the party's divergent and often warring factions. As the closing stretch of the campaign nears, that effort will expand to include Republicans disaffected with President Donald Trump.
Former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican and frequent Trump critic, has been approached and is expected to speak at the Democratic National Convention on Biden's behalf next month, according to a person with direct knowledge of the plans who insisted on anonymity to discuss strategy. Kasich is among a handful of high-profile Republicans likely to become more active in supporting Biden in the fall.

No, he was never conservative (or liberal, or anything else with core principles). Kasich, like so many politicians, acted a part when it was necessary to be elected. Then he turned when raking in big money from other sources meant he had to turn coat. It really is that simple...and disgusting. It’s very easy to make a turncoat when the right amount of money is tossed around. It is now and was ever thus.
I keep telling people that the people who voted for Perot the first time [18-19% of the turnout] have only been voting mostly Republican as "the lesser of two evils".
Trump has exposed the Pubbies as The Loyal Opposition, who are just in it for the paycheck.
This is why pieces of Mitt like Paul Ryan, Kasich and the reeking pile of Mitt himself ALWAYS take a dive when it comes time to stand up to the DemoCommies. ALWAYS.
I would predict that at least half of that Perot percentage would just not bother showing to the elections in the future after Trump - knowing that you're voting for Globalist Progressive Tweedledum instead of Globalist Progressive Tweedledee.
