Washington (CNN)Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Friday she is undergoing chemotherapy to treat a recurrence of cancer. The treatment is yielding "positive results."

The liberal justice, 87, said she remains "fully able" to continue in her post. Here is the full statement as distributed by the court: "On May 19, I began a course of chemotherapy (gemcitabine) to treat a recurrence of cancer. A periodic scan in February followed by a biopsy revealed lesions on my liver. My recent hospitalizations to remove gall stones and treat an infection were unrelated to this recurrence.

You may note that the niceness is only a tactic in that clip.

Also, while it’s being applied in a modern sense of the word, the effect applied would have those men acting, at least to some degree, as if they didn’t understand the insults directed at them.

Now, these days people who aren’t “nice” at all demand others submit to them nicely, to do whatever they demand, and being offended has become the new political superpower even as being nice means bowing and begging the offendsensitive to not hurt them and ruin their lives.

That's the < pre > html tag. Then you don't have to screw around with formatting an already formatted table, for instance.

I think I'm going to check Twitter for these law clerks...

The course of treatment is (clearly) the one that will be used.

Please stop spreading that crap.

Do you really think there are MANY treatments for what she has?

If you are interested in her options, spend a night doing some research.

What is the command to get a bit of random [or not-so-random] vertical mis-registration?

McConnell would have to be absolutely insane to let this be an issue sitting on the table through the election. I agree 100%; if she steps down or dies tomorrow, you wait one day and then get your pick to the Senate and then get in front of every camera there is to demand McConnell immediately get confirmation hearings going.

The sad part is how political this has all become. It was supposed to be a question of whether the candidate picked was qualified to hold the position. Now it’s a litany of litmus tests about abortion and guns and all sorts of other things. How about: if you want to change the makeup of the Supreme Court, try winning the election!

Thanks.

I’ve been totally unaware of that.

Quite useful.

It really is shocking how politicians (and I include judges and justices in that group) hang on to power at all costs even as their end of life rapidly approaches.

Perhaps their nature leads them to believe that this life is all there is, and that there isn't anything beyond the grave.

She’s hung on long enough now, that our RINO senators can say that any selection of her replacement should wait until after the election, and if Trump loses, for the new President.

Enough RINOs would go this way to deny Trump a replacement confirmation this year.

Properly indoctrinated in the “proper” law schools to keep lawyers’ systematic rape of the body politic fully in operation.

Mcconnell did it with Obama’s pick

But if the Democrats had been in control of the Senate, they would have been confirming Obama judges up until Trump's Inauguration Day. They would have been confirming Obama's nominated slate of judges PAST Trump's inauguration.
