Nikki Haley has kept busy since leaving her post in the Trump administration as United States ambassador to the United Nations.
A former governor of South Carolina, Haley is often mentioned as a potential Republican presidential candidate for either 2024 or 2028 depending on whether Donald Trump wins re-election in November.
There has even been speculation that Trump might switch out Vice-President Mike Pence for Haley as his running mate in the hopes of boosting his lagging approval numbers among the broader electorate, though there has been no strong evidence that that will happen.
Either way she has positioned herself as a national leader within the Republican party.
A rare woman of color in the partys senior ranks, she has been fundraising for Republican congressional candidates as well as in the Senate and gubernatorial arena. She has set up a non-profit organization to boost her policy priorities. She has continued to pen editorials on foreign policy. And she has retained a small, tightly knit orbit of advisers.
Haley is one of the few high-ranking Republicans to leave the Trump administration on good terms. She has pledged to campaign aggressively for the president and has echoed some of the same arguments Trump has made on national topics such as cancel culture, defunding police forces and statue removal, although the tone and frequency between Trump and Haley vary dramatically. At other times she has kept her distance.

Speculative drivel about rumors derived from unfounded speculation
IF anyone has the money and the base to pull it off it will be Trump.
Some say that she's fun to party with, though.
Assuming that you refer to me I would say that I did not abandon the Republican party - they abandoned me. I continued to support them long after they stopped defending Republican (and conservative) principles because they were so focused on themselves and their bank accounts.
I do not consider myself “Anti-Republican” - I’m just sorry to watch it wither and die.
Yeah, I agree it’s not going to be a career politician post Trump to lead the MAGA agenda. After the 20 point beating Sessions took last night a lot of these fake MAGA career GOP politicans are going to be reassessing their futures. GOP voters are as anti-establishment as when Trump won the primary. Maybe more so due to GOP enabling of the ongoing coup.
The tens of millions of us who still vote GOP? Just spitballin' here....
Look at the 20 point beating 20 year GOP Senator Sessions took lats night. The GOP brand is in the toilet with the MAGA voting GOP base. Barr, McConnell and Graham and no doubt in panic mode this morning. They must deliver or they will pay the price like Sessions did.
Quite right.
AT the same time, if Trumps sits for a second term, I think the U.S. will have become accustomed to a strong, effective and experienced leader; one that is, at the least, as strong as our country's adversaries.
Pompeo may now be the only one in the room so qualified.
No. I am opposed to political dynasties.
So am I. But Trump’s kids are not career politicians. We need outside the establishment types now because even the “best” GOP politicians do not directly engage the corruption of their party and our other institutions.
You forgot their friends and families.
I have been viewing most “politics” (mostly a sham concept) as mostly being entrench establishment types pretending to be representing the American People while confiscating ever more money via tax payers..not to mention amassing a insurmountable dept..in order to live the lifestyle they have become accustom too.
Haley is a snake, best left outside the fold and given rope.
Our nation is in deep trouble after President Tump next 4 years. There is no Republican Party to lead .Most are RINOS. I know this from living in NY state most of my life. The GOP is practically non existent here. Its pathetic. A big change is needed to support candidates who believe in America First policies.
Spot on. We are an army without generals. There is no opposition party to the porgressive-corportist alliance. The GOP openly colludes with progressive Democrats to defeat POTUS and the MAGA agenda.
So what values and policies does the GOP support that benefits you?
Kristi Neem is my pick
She stabbed Trump in the back over the pussy tape thing weeks before the election.
There are 100,000 million wage earners, both blue and white collar, dying for representation from either party. Will the GOP listen to them? Doubtful.
I would estimate the current constituency of small business owners, Wall Streeters, globalists corpratists and farmers are maybe 10,000,000 tops. Half of who don’t even bother to vote. That is not a “big” tent constituency or base if you will in a nation of 335,000,000.
Well put starboard. They won’t listen though.
“One more day of this crap, and Ill be in favor of replacing the current government with an absolute monarchy.”
Well, I’m all for that, but only if I can be the king! :)
