In a related case, the court ruled Mr Trump did not have to share this information with Congress.

So is this correct?
Congress can't have them?

If the Lib prosecutor has them. The MSM will have them and everyone else including Congress.

And since they can’t indict him while in office.....
Todays ruling means nothing until he leaves office?

Bloomberg:
“The U.S. Supreme Court cleared a New York grand jury to get President Donald Trumps financial records while blocking for now House subpoenas that might have led to their public release before the election.”

The first case is returned to lower court where Trump can advance further arguments.
The second case is a pure Trump win, Congress loses.

Not so fast.
According to scotusblog the case is sent back to the lower courts for more proceedings.
There is an excellent chance DJT's lawyers can run out the clock before the election.

A copy will be sent to everyone in the US once a lib gets his or her paws on them.

Nice clear explanation...thanks!

Fake News...The Court remanded the case back to the lower courts. They did not clear a NY grand jury to get the records.

As I understand it, that is only by custom. There really is no law that would prevent such a thing.

Difference without distinction. If the New York prosecutor that is merely targeting him because of New Years get them, the Democrat party gets them. Robert screwed us again

No way they’re not gonna get to Congress.
But Trump should have staffed an administration that would have gone over the Obama admin’s illegal use of IRS tax powers and access long before now.
Joe Tea Party was never protected in a more important precedent.
To: janetjanet998
I think both cases were remanded back to lower courts. This is not a loss for Trump...yet.
