Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms (D) ripped protesters and activists causing violence in her city after Atlanta Police responded to a situation that ended in the death of an 8-year-old girl on Saturday night. The incident took place at the now-burned-down Wendys where Rayshard Brooks was killed a few weeks ago.
Eight-year-old Secoriea Turner was in the car with two family members when the driver was met with a group of armed individuals, who eventually opened fire and killed Turner.
At some point, someone in that group opened fire on the vehicle, striking it multiple times and striking the child who was inside. The driver then drove to Atlanta Medical Center for help, Atlantas WSB-TV reported.
Mayor Bottoms condemned the violence and the senseless death of 8-year-old Turner, which was not at the hands of law enforcement:

So...Law and order? We all agree now?
Hey Joe, look over here, Im having my Sistah Souljah moment.
Hmm, Not a single word about White Nationalists or White Supremacy?? I guess it was peaceful black folks demonstrating how much Black Lives Matter??
Language matters.
They are not “protesters and activists”.
They are evil rioters and looters.
“Lance Bottoms”......The most common treatment for a butt boil.
She was forced into this statement by outraged citizens. It is no concession, the struggle continues.
As I stated in another post.....
The scumbags that have occupied and held that intersection, near the Wendy’s where Brooks was JUSTIFIABLY shot and killed by police, have held and occupied that area by force since the building was burned to the ground. This is Atlanta’s CHOP/CHAZ.
Ranking members of APD presented a plan to go in and take back the area and make any arrests.
THEY WERE TURNED DOWN BY CITY AND DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP.
The blood of that innocent and adorable 8yr old child is on the hands of Mayor Kiki and Chief Rodney Bryant....two of the most incompetent people you’ll ever meet.(I’ve met them both, believe me)
I see the news is reporting this as a shooting victim... but not giving details about the blm involvement, or that she was shot inside a vehicle with her family.
Just remember....she is/was on the short list for VEEP. Scary, scary thought.
And something tells me that if picked, the media will do everything in their power, and they have a bunch of it, to sweep this under the table and make her look like she walks on water. Unfortunately, a large bloc of folks will believe the BS.
Don’t forget the District Attorney. Charging the officer with murder would chill any police department. How can you do the job if you cannot use force to make an arrest or protect yourself?
“Just remember....she is/was on the short list for VEEP. Scary, scary thought.”
Joe’s VP will be a black woman, it’s a given, but it’s not racist or sexist to select on the basis of approved gender/color.
It’s almost certain that the VP will be an angry black woman. It’s also clear that Joe’s team could select a trained zoo animal, and many/most Americans will still vote for him. Remember, orange man bad.
One cannot predict the future, but.......
The officer will be cleared. The city will burn to the ground in the ensuing riots. The cops will walk off the job and there will be no one there to do anything.
The DA violated numerous laws and protocols in getting the warrants signed.
No Grand Jury, which in Georgia, an officer is allowed to present at.
He obtained the warrants without an investigation being completed, no police report, no homicide investigation as the GBI is handling it.
No personnel or investigators from the DAs office have played any part in any part of the investigation.
He went to a willing, or possibly unwilling, family court judge to get the warrants signed, completely bypassing/avoiding the presiding judge, who would normally handle such matters. And it’s being debated if the family court judge even had the authority to sign the warrants.
Lots of bad things happened, are happening and will happen because of that incompetent moron.
Folks should remember that this is the man that screwed up the Ray Lewis trial, when Lewis and two of his fellow gang members killed two guys in Buckhead. The DA, nor APD leadership, allow investigators to properly do their jobs. Ray Lewis sobbed while being interviewed by Homicide detectives, who caught up to him as he was trying to get out of his hotel room and get to a plane. The DA, who is a moron, tried the case himself and failed miserably. The two gang members were acquitted. He begged Lewis to plead to a misdemeanor, obstruction charge, IIRC.
The leftist are really pushing for Lanced Bottoms to be Clueless Joe’s VP - she has pushed the fake Indian out of 1st place.
I will take “Black Lives That Don’t Matter” for $1,000 Alex.
The mayor allowed them to occupy a part of her city for two weeks.
She shares the blame.
Anyone seriously think she would have shut it all down if the child had been white?
He will not select this mayor or Demings, because they are somewhat law and order.
That has no appeal to the far Left, the AOC fans.
They need to roll in there, handcuff each one of those thugs to the bumper of a police cruiser, clamp jumper cables to their ears, and leave them all that way until someone rats out the killer of that innocent little girl.
Yep. More than the mayor or the police chief, it is the DA in Atlanta who has chilled the cops with the outlandish charging of the officer(s) who were clearly assaulted and presented with deadly force by the DA’s own definition.
Police will not and cannot do their job when authorities are out to charge them and will make up things to do so no matter what the facts or even without a thorough investigation.
GBI is going to finish their investigation and say the officers use of force was warranted and complied with state law and APD policy and training.
