PROVO Provo police have confirmed that one person was shot during a protest Monday night near the police department.
The victim, a 60-year-old Provo resident, remained hospitalized Tuesday but was stable, according to police. The man was not part of the protest or counterprotest that had been going on, but was just driving in the area, said Provo Police Sgt. Nisha King.

Given that LEO are a bit slow to make a first public statement it will probably be tomorrow before a mob blocking a vehicle will become an act of suicide.
Word will be out this is a documented murder tactic.
No more stopping the vehicle, just punch it before the driver and/or passenger(s) are executed.
.
Yep. Law enforcement is not doing anything about it.
Bump
Bumpski.
I agree - put it in reverse, back up about 10 yards, then lay on the horn to warn them and then drop it in drive and punch it.
Enough is enough.
I guess this means they're going to fight against Affirmative Action. Fat chance.
Mobbing the car, and then saying the driver was trying to hit you is becoming the classic leftie ploy.
“Police arrest alleged shooter in Salt Lake City”
They are also, idiotically, invoking “stand your ground”. As if one could create the confrontation and then invoke SYG.
It’s as if a burglar, after breaking in to a house trying to claim self defense after assaulting the residents.
Anyone driving a vehicle where one of these mobs ate and stops is a fool and will soon be a dead one.
What are the Police going to do about it? Not a thing.
Ah. A “protestor.”
A "mostly peaceful" protestor.
” About 50 minutes after the shooting, tensions remained high as cars continued to drive through the lines of protesters, prompting some to jump onto the vehicles and hit the windows. “ ( from the article)

**50** minutes!!!!
When minutes count the police are 50 minutes away.
So they’re saying he was a peaceful protestor— he was peaceful while he was protesting.
But if you drive through you get the Charlottesville railroading. Best bet is to do a U-turn and go back the way you came. If any governor had an ounce of back-bone, they would simply announce that due to recent events (mobs attacking and shooting at vehicles (note this is not the first time they have shot drivers)), anyone blocking the road is considered an a priori threat so drivers are not obligated to stop and driver actions will be considered self-defense.
When i drive on the interstate, I watch for the brake lights of vehicles far from me. When I see them start going on, I begin going through what if scenarios.
The insurance company cares only to the extent of how much money they will have to pay out

I sort of ‘beat’ the insurance game but I do notice on occasion of ‘checking out’ the bennies, that a lot of time terrorism or act of war is excluded.
Maybe that is why ‘they’ are reluctant to name something a ‘terrorist attack’???
As to your driving habits(Sport)...I basically do the same AND when pulling up to a red light...where to bail if someone behind apparently isn’t going to stop, where to turn if the left turner is going too wide...Also if a semi behind me and the light is turning red I will move to an ‘empty’ lane (as long as he isn’t)..
I had not thought of that before but I suspect that you are right
