The Supreme Court ruled in favor of protecting abortion rights in the case June v. Russo Monday.
The court's opinion, led by Justice Stephen Breyer, "found that conditions on admitting privileges common to hospitals throughout the State have made and will continue to make it impossible for abortion providers to obtain conforming privileges for reasons that have nothing to do with the States asserted interests in promoting womens health and safety."
The case, June Medical Services v. Russo, called into question the constitutionality of a Louisiana law that mandated abortion clinics have admitting privileges in hospitals within a 30-mile radius, which would have winnowed down the number of abortion providers in Louisiana to one.
The Louisiana Legislature passed the law in 2014 on the basis that requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges would protect womens health, and competent abortion providers would be able to obtain privileges. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, however, wrote in its Supreme Court brief that this was not the case, as hospitals have the authority to refuse to grant privileges to abortion providers. Complications in abortion procedures are rare, and the odds that hospitals would reap financial benefits from granting admitting privileges to abortion providers are very low.

Whats next, Chief Justice Roberts? Our Second Amendment rights?
Roberts doesn’t JOIN liberals; he IS a liberal.
I joined the dissent in Whole Womans Health (Note: This is the Texas abortion case which was identical to the Louisiana case and in which Roberts dissented from the majority and joined the conservatives) and con- tinue to believe that the case was wrongly decided. The question today (i.e. Louisiana case of June 29th) however is not whether Whole Womans Health was right or wrong, but whether to adhere to it in deciding the present case.
This evil bastidge legislated 0bamaCare, from his freaking bench.
And this is the judge the Democrats resisted so hard.
Oh goody! Back alley abortions and coat hangers are now acceptable to the Dread Pirate Roberts and his band of liberals.
Many women will die. The blood is on Roberts and the Demons.
The ACOG is strongly pro abortion and sees any restriction to abortion providers as a loss in income. Soon a medical student who wants to specialize in OBGYN will be required to participate in abortions in order to obtain their desired degree.
Hack, totally corrupted and owned hack.
Why would they even have taken a case that was similar to or nearly identical to another case that therefore needed to be followed?
Is there no way this corrupt scum can be removed? Any degree of prosecuted criminality that would lead to his removal?
Or it could be that the plaintiffs agreed to present the case, not on its merits, but whether it should be treated just like the Texas case. In other words, the ruling is not on merits of the case. This can be frequently the situation at the SOCTUS - everyone assumes every case is fought on its merits, but you have to read the case brief to understand the issue in dispute.
He is willingly doing satans bidding. Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. I guess this verse defines Roberts.
With this judgement, Roberts and the other judges that voted against the law, proved that their are MURDERERS & should be treated as such. Arrest them, bring them to trial and imprison them for murder!!!!!!!!!
Only in America....... Women MUST have the RIGHT to kill their kids.
Roberts is HORRIBLE. We need more good SCOTUS justices! Robers is horrible, Gorsuch seems VERY iffy due to recent transperve vote, which leaves us with only three good ones.
I am hoping that when 0bola is shown to have been non-eligible, his SCOTUS picks will get the boot. What can be done with Roberts?
Can this be explained in a Dummies’ For Non-Legal Minds version?
John Roberts=Earl Warren
The danger of a really clever person who lacks wisdom. Surprised some kid didn't punch him out in kindergarten.
