NASCAR employees will receive sensitivity training in the coming weeks after the discovery of a garage door pull tied into a noose was found in driver Bubba Wallace’s garage and triggered a national controversy, president Steve Phelps said on Thursday.
“We'll make any changes necessary to our sanctions and our code of conduct and we will mandate that all members of our industry complete sensitivity and unconscious bias training,” Phelps said during a press conference.

Who do they think they are with all this “training?” The FBI?
NASCAR got its lawyers involved. That’s what this is about.
Who the Hell is Steve Phelps & where did he come from???
I have been around many kinds of racing & manufacturers of racing parts for 60 + years. I have done bookkeeping for some. I have worked IN THE MACHINE SHOP customizing cylinder heads. (night job after selling auto parts all day long) I have sold auto parts & paint & body bondo supplies. I have known a large number of people who only wanted a talented person to drive-—and they didn’t care about the color.
IF I HAD A DOLLAR for every garage door I have been in & out of in those 60 years that had some sort of pull for lowering the door, I could totally wipe out my credit card debt & have a large chunk of $$$$$ let over. I am talking about garage doors at racing facilities, and doors at companies who make parts for racing. Tire shops & piston makers. MANY different places.
While some were twisted ropes & some were nylon straps, they all had the same basic shape of the door pull Bubba is whining about.
Not only did 15 FBI agents work on the investigation, Bubba still cannot seem to GRACIOUSLY say thank you for all your efforts & that is was all a misunderstanding. He seems to wish to keep the narrative alive. “Keep looking at me”
seems to be more important.
Bubba keeps saying “We all have to do more”.
WHICH ALL? The whites or the blacks?
Which group has more violent criminal history?
Which group seems to have no standards of behavior beyond BARBARIAN?
Which group is sponsoring YOUR NASCAR ride, Bubba?
Bubba’s petulant behavior is NOT deserved by Richard Petty.
NASCAR owners & drivers do not deserve to get caught up in such a fake news story.
Racing overall has a strong history of giving a TALENTED person a chance. Driving a VERY EXPENsIVE 200 MPH car around tight turns in a pack with other 200 MPH driver’s isn’t a place for AFFIRMATIVE ACTION HIRING. Expecting the very best from the crew at the track & the others at the shop isn’t a place for mediocraty. IF Bubba really does prove he has talent—he will be OK. Otherwise, this incident will tarnish NASCAR.
Time for Bubba to apologize for stretching this out any further.

So now that we know this for sure....Woods brothers had that stall last year. come on now...a crew member was right there during that photo

They had a redo on that racetrack. Not sure how many races that rope has seen
They should quit en masse and join Formula One teams.
Isn’t Nascar supposed to be a takeoff on the old moonshine runner days of fast cars? I don’t see how “sensitivity training” fits into this.
There had to be a drama queen loving cup somewhere.
It was a loop to open / close the garage door. C’mon NASCAR, show some integrity.

Not sure I am the right person to ask that.
My truck is a 1976 1 ton Chevy dually I bought used with 90,000 miles on it 34 years ago & it now has over 348,000 miles on it. Still does it’s job.
I also have a 1979 Buick station wagon I bought used in August 1981 that now has about 218,000 miles on it.
A rope that might only be up since Oct 2019 would be like brand new to me.
Count me in!
I love racing...any kind, (except F1, the most boring racing ever), and USED to follow nascar closely.
Never again...and I sent an email to their head office asking them when nascar and wallace would be apologizing to America??
