WFTV Orlando Florida reports record-breaking 3,200 new COVID-19 cases; 6 deaths reported locally The Florida Department of Health on Thursday reported 3,207 new cases of the coronavirus statewide since Wednesday, bringing the total to 85,926 cases.
The agency also reported 43 more deaths statewide since Wednesday, bringing the virus’ death toll to 3,061 people.
Six of those deaths happened in Central Florida -- Lake County reported three new deaths since Wednesday; and Seminole, Volusia and Polk counties each reported one new death.
So far, more than 1.4 million tests have come back negative. The positivity rate is now at 5.3% statewide.

The hospitalizations and deaths are up, along with the raw number of cases.

I think the real numbers to watch are hospital rates increases. If people start filling the hospital up that is when it is time to look closer at the outbreak.
People who check into the hospital with symptoms is what we have to worry about.
I am still surprise by the hot humid weather outbreaks. According to our so call experts we should be going down in new cases.
I believe the larger number of new cases are young people and not people with heath conditions. The older people and ones with heath conditions are staying safe.

I believe that 1000%. Initially Covid was highest in all the Democrat run states. I honestly believed then that this was only to encourage the shutting down of our economy to hurt President Trump. Now since that failed, covid cases are now highest but only in states where President Trump may host rallies. They really think we are stupid.

So they test those 4 and none test positive.
So do they count 1 or 5? I'm sure they will count 5. Then they have to have the contacts of the other 4.

No it is not the flu. It is less than the flu. I have several colleagues in and around Florida. There are minimal increases in hospitalizations or cases. There are several major hospitals in major cities out of Miami with less than 5 cases.
What is interesting is that testing is sky high, percentages are holding the same. There are tons of tests done for procedures that the patient is not sick that are popping up positive. We know that there are late false positives from dead viral particles that are present from infection weeks or months ago.
I think we are seeing a sort of historical record. Despite the so called 3000+ cases, these are positive tests, and it is not affecting the hospitalization rate.

The death rate according to Johns Hopkins epidemiologists and Stanford is significantly less than 1%. The death rate according to the CDC is 0.26%. Under 65 is < 0.10%. These are the data.
How many people have you taken care of? What is your authority that it does not take into account permanent damage and you can be sick 6 - 8 weeks or longer? I would love to know your experience in treating these patients.
