Im worried about Stacy Abrams moving into the Governors mansion now that it’s been vacated.
We have been flipping channels. Not seeing anything. I’m sure they are trying to keep it quiet.

And my guess is that she was ordered to fire the officer and refused; whereupon she was “resigned”.

I am furious at what he did to this officer today. It made me sick to my stomach and it has not gotten better since.
It is wrong. The officer’s actions appear to be justified based on what we know, but there should (and will be) a full investigation as normal. We know for a fact that the investigation was not completed by GBI who was not consulted prior to the DA’s press conference.
I understand better than most here how the officers feel today. All of the officers regardless of what color - they are blue. This is their city, but I suspect many of them feel quite hopeless in that they are not supported by their bosses, the DA, the mayor, and much of the public. I know they feel betrayed and it is justified. People can only take so much before they throw in the towel.
However, I truly pray this is not happening. If it is, this might be a night/week we all remember for the rest of our lives. I shudder at the thought of any big city without the police.
Unlikely that cops are going to walk out nationwide. The ones in areas where they’re appreciated are not going to be see call offs nor walk outs........ The places where people treat them like garbage are soon to discover why sane people appreciate the police.
This is really not a problem. The mayor just has to call the universities and have their social workers mobilized. I’m sure they would be more than happy to jump in.

Officer Brosnan’s attorney said that the DA, Paul Howard, was not telling the truth when he suggested that Brosman had turned states evidence and was testifying.
Brosnan’s attorney said he is not guilty, will not be pleading guilty, and has not agreed to be a state Witness.

I can confirm - Both Zone 5 and 6 are very quiet on the online scanner feeds. I live in a low crime metro area 1/8th the size of theirs and my local scanner feed is probably 10x busier tonight than theirs is.

Mike Nifong and the Duke Lacrosse team.
Nifong was appointed to District Attorney to fill a vacancy. He was in a primary race for his office when the Duke Lacrosse rape case fell his way. Nifong used the case as a platform for his election.
It appears that Fulton County DA Paul Howard is doing the same thing. He came in second during the primary race for his office. He's nifonging the police officers to raise his profile in the upcoming runoff election for his office.
